Terry Norris... School me on him!

Yep fair points. Im not definitively sold on a victor. Terry has the skill to make Trinidad look primitive, to me its a matter of his discipline in avoiding a brawl and giving Tito an even shake.

 

yeah that would have been great. I can see Tito being knocked down then coming back to stop Terry.

Terry Norris was born Terraformis Archibald Apollo O'Brady-Edelstein in County Cork, Ireland, in the late summer of 1965. When he was six years of age he sparred Baby Arizmendi's niece in a gym in Santa Nickola, Mexico and found a love for boxing while in a long clinch. In early 1981 he starred in Mel Brooks' King Lear parody, King Sneer, and won the super welterweight championship of the world. The parody flopped, but his championship reign did not. He defended his title a record of 25 times, consecutively, over the course of nearly twelve years. A record yet to be broken in any weight division at any time.

 

The only thing I'd add to what's been (seriously) said is that Norris's big weakness, aside from his chin, seemed to be his footwork. He wasn't slow of foot or stationary, but he always seemed to get his legs tangled when he tried to move laterally. It was like someone trying to move with two left feet. He'd move a bit and then have to stop to re-set.

people can knock the size of his opponents but his resume is stacked.

If Norris had an Iron chin he never would have lost and would have been considered one of the greatest fighters ever,a joy to watch,his shaky chin made him even more exciting knowing he could be taken out at any minute of a fight he was dominating..

 

Norris, was victim of probably one the most loudest connecting punches in boxing history, when Jackson hit him.

 

It was even worse against Laurent Boudouani.His balance and coordination looked awful.No fluidity,no rhythm,just a man that looked years beyond his actual age.



And it shows how crap Dana Rosenblatt actually was.So terrified of getting his glass jaw cracked,or getting tired,that he spent the last three or four rounds trying to survive after completely dominating Norris in the first eight.

Did he? My own recollection from that fight was that Vaden practically spent the entire fight without making any serious effort to engage.He lost wide on the scorecards,but I don't recall Norris ever seriously beating him up.

Norris took no prisoners .

 

The other thing Norris had was a terrific manager in Joe Stoyanovich, or Stoyavich, cannot recall his name. So many fighters switch up their management especially after losses. But this guy really did a terrific job and built that fight camp for training.
