Did you watch the fight? As I said before, Freddie Roach had no idea who was winning. He's mentally deficient and clearly scrambled for a bull**** answer when addressed with a question he didn't expect. He's said the same exact thing before when asked for his score near the end of the fight. He's not a real ringside analysis guy and even struggles with giving his fighters answers in the corner of late. BJ Flores, who isn't a great scorer himself but did a decent job this time, was not happy with the decision despite having it "close."
1. Roach didn;t even score the fight he just said it was even every time they asked him who was winning. 2. Even if Roach was scoring the guy is seriously ****ed up and doesn't belong on TV.
Roach had the fight even after 10. I don't think even the hardest core Cunningham supporters would give Steve the 11th. I heard Roach had Cunningham winning. 10-8 12th round?? Roaches opinion on the scoring, one or the other, is irrelevant.
Like I said he only had it by 2 rounds. It was one of those close but clear fights but not bad enough to be a robbery. You can see many people on here would have been fine with the initial draw, so it really wasn't that bad. The real crazy people are those that had it almost a shutout win for USS.
There is a difference between 115-113 close fight but with clear winner and 115-113 close fight that could go either way. So 115-113 can still be a robbery and that is the case with Cunningham Adamek.
I usually say a fight that should have been scored by 4 points is a clear robbery. I had Cunningham up by 4 however, most had him winning by 2-4 points. I would not really call it a robbery but in my mind it was pretty damn clear who won the fight.
When it is clear who the winner is then it is robberry. Why a close fight cannot be a robbery ? DeLaHoya Sturm was a big robbery and it was a close fight.
boxing is totally subjective if there is 12 close rounds then a score could feasably be 120/108 either way common sense says you should even them out but you dont have to. think on that
Did either of you idiots watch the fight? They asked Roach and Flores after basically every round (there may have been one where they didn't), and both gave their opinion on who won the previous round, and kept a running total as they went along. That is scoring the fight in my book. Roach had it even after 11, and Flores had Cunningham by one after 11. I had it even after 11, and scored the 12th for Adamek, and therefore gave the fight to Adamek. Roach and Flores scored the 12th for Cunningham, and therefore gave the fight to Cunningham.
I don't even consider the fight that close.. Cunningham had a bunch of clear rounds, then you have a few debatable rounds, even if you give Adamek the debatable rounds you'll probably still end up with a 115-113 score. It is a robbery when there is no case of giving the fight to the other man, and there really is no way you can give this fight to Adamek.
It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile.....winning is winning, and a robbery is a robbery.
