Why are people so butt hurt that this fight didn't happen their are other fights and other fighters. I for one never thought the fight would be competitive after the first few rounds then Mayweather would have him figured out and beat him. when Mayweather wins their is always an excuse.....too short , too small, etc. and would have been the same with PAC. Imagine other fights we missed like prime Trinidad vs undefeated Mosley at 147 would have been more exciting and competitive, McCallum vs hearns, Bowe vs Tyson, shavers vs Foreman would been a def war, Leonard vs. pryor.....why get bent all out of shape when bigger better fights didn't happen

:lol: it was a joke to me to because I could never see mannywinning. To small too predictable for a guy with a high ring IQ like Floyd.....most the people that are hurt were the ones that anointed manny as the one who could beat money or succeed him as the best of our time like he was a "white Hope" to rid them of the arrogant black champ or the Floyd fans who wanted Floyd to shut *******s up....personally it was just another fight to me...
Casual fans are hurt cause those are the only fighters they know of

I never bought into the "Manny's his greatest threat". Floyd is taller, stronger, and has a 5" reach advantage. Give a boxer of Floyd's capacity a 5" reach advantage and you're in for a long night.

This is the problem, we shouldn`t be expected as fans to be happy about who would `probably` win, this was one of the biggest fights ever between the top 2 p4p fighters in the world & not everybody shared your views that floyd would win easy (or win at all for that matter)... pacquiao at that time was the one missing piece of the jigsaw that would have answered all questions & erased all doubts about floyd being up there with the true elite... he failed miserably to answer that call & will now (rightfully) never be ranked with the very elite in history. I have the same feeling towards pacquiao... but as already said he was already punching above his weight & had fought the 3 Mexican legends before 147 lbs.

Both let themselves down badly but floyd really was the one that ****ed up because (IMO) he would likely have beat pac, obviously he didn`t fancy the style of pac at the time & vice versa, they cannot be ranked with the best ever, they disgraced the sport & let everybody down.

I may be in the minority but I believe Floyd's unwillingness/resistance to work with Bob Arum is the primary reason the fight never happened.

No chance in hell Floyd or Manny were afraid of the other. These two are among the best of their generation. Ain't nobody on top afraid of what's beneath them

The way I look at it, he didn't need PAC to b considered great before anyone heard of him why does he now...dude won fighter of the year way back in 98 and remained a top fighter p4p since then, many showed his greatness without Floyd at lower weights...I would have watched the fight but in no way does it affect their legacy considering other fights didn't...do you consider ray Robinson as the GOAT? He never fought Charley Burley who his top contender at two weights for a decade who many thought could beat him....the fight never happened and both are still ATG let it go...this is not the first fight not to happen move on

Personly I've come to the point where I don't care about Pac - Mayweather, but I don't get your point with. Because other fights back in the days that would have been better fights never happends, therefore we should not care about or try to get Pac - Mayweather (back when it was the fight).
