    At the 4:00 mark.

I've always though Canelo's power is overrated, and Mayweather's power is underrated.

Btw, Shane doesnt' seem to be slurring anymore, but this is just one video.

Mayweather had 8 oz and Canelo had 10. Big difference

Mayweather fought Shane at 147 and Canelo fought him at 154 an even bigger difference?

Mosley also said Manny hit him harder than anyone else in his career.

I'm just guessing DLH, Forrest, Mayorga, and maybe Vargas all hit him harder than Manny did. His punch resistance just isn't what it once was.

Fighters say a lot of odd things that may not necessarily be true/contradict things they've said earlier.

  5. I'm just saying.

A lot of people say Mayweather is a pillow power puncher, but the fact that his power can be compared to someone like Canelo is still worth noting.

This could be true also! We know Vernon hit very very hard.

I BEEN trying to tell people Mayweather has very decent power, if his hands were not so brittle we might see him commit to his shots even more.

To suggest he is feather fisted is stupid IMO when everyone of his opponents say he hits hard.

Mayweather has good snap on his punches.

Mayweather definitely has pop. If he didn't, guys like Cotto, Hatton, and Ortiz would've walked right through him. He at the very least gets the respect of his oponents with his punches.

When he really sits down on his punches, like he did vs Ortiz, his power seems to be very good. If his hands weren't so brittle, he'd likely be a full time boxer-puncher instead of being primarily a counter puncher.

These kinds of thoughts are always very interesting, various fighters differ in opinions about who hits harder, I wonder if how strong there chin is has anything to with it, like ask Cintron or Baldomir how hard Canelo hits and they will tell you more then anyone they have ever fought... it all depends from fighter to fighter.

    Example:

    "Pacquiao hits harder then mayweather"
    - Mosely

    "Mayweather hits harder then Pacquiao"
    -Cotto

    :think

I hope Mayweather see's that video so we get Canelo next :!:

I'm very surprised Cotto said that, I never knew he said that. Can anyone remember what Hatton said?

He would know, he got punched in the face and body repeatedly by both. Neither one dropped him or seemed to have him all that hurt.

Definitely interesting to hear these kinds of comments. I remember Mayorga said that DLH hit him harder than Trinidad did, and that Vargas said the opposite (that could be because Vargas was always on the DLHaterade though )

Mayorga seemed surprised at Vernon Forrest's punching power between rounds in their first fight. HBO's translator stated to the effect "hey that black guy hits hard"

I remember that! One of Mayorga's cornermen between rounds 2 and 3 I think said "that black guy, he hits hard!!" :rofl
