Eddie Hearn yet again raises the bar in matchmaking, fair play to Rees for stepping up and taking the fight with Broner. Got Brook into the mandatory position to fight Alexander in America as well. Frampton fighting Martinez after demolishing former world champ Molitor next. If only other promoters followed his lead, Boxing would be a much better place. We love you Eddie :good
I think the Brook fight is a genuine 50/50 but Rees will have to rely on Broner being truly woeful to win. Credit to Eddie Hearn for already sorting eight of his dates out already.
If a non-British fighter of similar calibre to Rees was fighting Broner we'd all be slating GBP/Haymon for matching Broner softly.
Alexander was comfortably beaten by kotelnik. Luckily for him the fight was in st louis and the judges whipped up some good o'l home cooking for him just like mamma used to make. I reckon brook will win as long as nerves don't play a factor.
I don't agree with this. Rees is a decent fighter and it is really a keep busy fight if he is fighting on the May 4th card. I do like how Broner fights reguarly.
mate he's genuine top 10, maybe even top 5, and has been long overdue a shot for ages... honestly..the cynicism... Scott Gilfoid is that you?
Sometimes you have to take risks. Rees will start a massive underdog but a loss won't hurt him. Burns continued ducking is shameful.
His recent interview with iFilm London had be believing again if the truth be told. I'm glad that he is willing to put his fighters in fights they are not favoured. Lockett Pavlik, Jennings Pavlik, Williams Tyson etc Are these not similar fights that ***** put on. I think Hearns has realised that as long as they put on a good show then a fighters stock still goes up in defeat i.e. Macklin, Murray, Barket etc
