Wherever the fighters can earn more, and of course that is Montreal, it's close to the US border too.

Oakland. The only people there who like boxing and come to matches are Ward's family and friends. Bute would introduce boxing to the Oakland housewifes and Pavlik will certainly make lots of new drinking buddies. Cali is also known for amazing plastic surgery so both Bute and Pavlik can get hair implant.

NY seems to be a good compromise.

Montreal is actually closer to NY than Youngstown, and its a LOT closer than Oxnard!

Its a no brainer... The idea is to make money no?

This fight is lucky to sell 3000 seats anywhere except Montreal where it's a guaranteed sell out at Bell Centre = 15 000+

*Just ban Marlon Wright from the building

Far from Ohio. But still in USA. NY or Vegas would be kosher.

Bute has prove he can fight on hostile territory, but yet again. I mean it's not bad to fight Pavlik in Ohio aside from the judges, because generally i think it's 100 times more harder to fight a home guy in the Europe or Latin-America / Mexico, because the fans are much more noisy to say it, i mean that atmosphere at Froch v Bute was insane! But with that said, Pavlik does not bring anything special to the table fighting him in the US, so i think it's fair to fight in Montreal, which means good money for both fighters and a good atmosphere and Pavlik has done 0 things at SMW, you can talk about Bute not fighting the best until Froch, but he still did more than Pavlik, so it's only fair to happen in Montreal.

When I hear Bute and NY I think Buffalo which may as well be a home fight for Bute and truthfully I'm not sure the two together have done enough lately to headline a card at MSG. So I just don't see NY as an option in general

NY is exactly 400 miles from Ytown. Straight shot on Interstate 80. That is probably the best venue. Although, they're saying Top Rank is looking at an Abraham fight as a replacement.

Abraham has a rematch clause doesn't he? They probably see that as a relatively easy belt for Pavlik but I doubt Abraham's people really want that fight for him and TR won't accept Germany as a venue. Bute is a much easier fight to negotiate and stage at this point.

I think Pavlik needs to realize he's not the A-Side at this time for $ or home-base, Bute would sell out the Bell Centre in Montreal so I don't see the argument. I enjoy seeing fights on tv in places other than Vegas or AC esp. when they draw fans.

Well Pavlik rejected 1m+ last time around, calling it peanuts. But you think he'll be happy to fight for undercard money?
