No, and why would he? People r fooling themselves if they think Pac going to another trainer and focusing on defense is going to make him a better fighter. You cant change a guy like pac, especially this late in his career. He is born to be an offensive fighter. Him and Roach are a perfect match, and frankly Roach doesn't get enough credit for turning Pacquiao into the wrecking machine that he became.

Thats a silly statement to make. A fighter first and foremost must assure his well being and success in the ring. If khan and JCC see shortcomings in Roachs training and know they can develop more under someone else, why shouldnt they? Should they just go down and flop and let their career go to **** with roach so they can be 'loyal' and 'grateful'

So by Pac being loyal and sticking with Roach, he could be doing nothing but screwing himself over. Remember his loyalty also stretches to loyalty with Arum. Im sure we all dont rate his loyalty in this instance.

Agree with pretty much everything you say but there was a few years Roach was winning every Trainer's award under the sun and being constantly lauded as the best in the world, mostly off the back of Pacquiao's performances around 2007-2009/2010. I think he got plenty credit for his work with Pacquiao but now that Pacquiao has slipped a bit, and Roach's losing streak with his other big fighters thrown into the mix, the credit has dried up.

No I don't think he will, and even if he does, there's not much more he can do with another trainer anyway. It's too late to change bad habits and you can't reverse the clock either.

No he won't.....Pacquiao is very good at what he does and the style that Freddy teaches suited him down to a T.

I don't think there is much to be gained at this stage in his career by changing trainer, the older you are the harder it is to change and its fair to say that Manny is quite old in terms of boxing age.

I wouldn't necessarily say it would be unloyal if he left. You know if he's lacking something or missing something in training he may have had before, and it was not corrected or fixed, he'd have the right to leave. I understand the loyal part, but if Roach is unable to train like he may have before, Manny would have the right to leave. As many pro fights that he's been in, I think it'd be kind of tough for him to change his ways now, but anything is possible.

No offense but your statement is silly. How can you compare Pacquiao's situation to Khan and JCC? Pacquiao is nearing the end of his career while these guys are beginning theirs. Early in Pacquiao's career it was proven that Roach is the way to go for him. Obviously Roach is too old and sick, so everything he taught Pacquiao is already implemented within back when BOTH were younger, no other trainer will be able to make any changes at this stage of Pacquiao's career. It's too late, all the improvements have already been made by Roach back when it was possible.

Besides that point, Khan is a crybaby, every time he loses he blames someone or something. He could have whoever(Allah included) training him and still one big punch and he's kissing the canvas, then it will be Virgil Hunter's fault.

Absolutely not, and why should he?, Freddie took him to the absolute pinnacle and kept him there for years... just because he's slipping doesn't mean Manny should abandon him. I doubt Pac will be in the game for long either, I can see both retiring in the next year or so.

Khan & Chavez are two clowns that owe every success theyve had to Freddie Roach. Khan doesnt posess the brain to be a top class fighter. Chavez is just an over rated pug club fight with a famous father.. What Freddie did with those two stiffs is testament to his brilliance as a trainer.
Manny was following Freddies plan & was taking over the fight with Marquez ti he tried for a KO going in gung ho face first
Khan & Chavez will rue the day they left Freddie

Loyal? ROFL. He's cheated on his wife many times and there are reports he's had a child with another woman.

Why would he leave Roach? This is actually the first time in years I saw Roach come up with some adjustments and a real plan to fight JMM besides the "punch".

I don't agree with that, Im not a Khan fan whatsoever but he has clearly always been talented. Freddy did take him to the next level however with the lack of ring I.Q he has and lack of chin he needed a very good teaching in defense (and inside fighting and fighting going backwards) and clearly Roach neglected these areas.

I feel Hunter is a better trainer than Roach and Khan will improve a little under him however he will always be a K.O waiting to happen and if and when he loses he will probably stick the blame on Hunter.
