AA is far the hardest hitter at 168 and hits far harder than Miranda and Martinez.

AA on the other hand has been in the ring with the 2nd hardest hitter (froch) and not gone down.

I think the risk is very high that Pavlik gets ktfo.

but AA on the other hand was not able to stop Bouadla last time out so perhaps Kelly can also survive.

Abraham has a range where he is effective with his punching power. When he is able to get in that range, like having a fighter defenseless on the canvas, then he has a devastating punch. When he hit Dirrell LEGALLY he didn't seem to have much impact on him because Dirrell could keep out of that wheelhouse pretty easily. This is why Abraham lay on the ropes and invited fighters in during his MW 'reign'. He doesn't have the footwork and offense work his way into position against most fighters. Kelly has the reach, power and jab to neutralize Abraham pretty easily and that is from when he was with Loew. With Garcia I'd expect it to be easier.

Wow. Pavlik loses to a first ballot HOFer and a present P4Per and now anyone can outpoint/stop him.

What does AA have in common with the two guys that beat Kelly? Answer: Jack ****.

Ward is a bridge too far, but Kelly will be more than a handful for anyone else at 168lbs.

    Pavlik by decision.

I don't know. I think Pavlik would come into this fight wanting to hurt Abraham and make a statement. That could work against him if he isn't careful though so I don't see this fight going the distance either way.

You are blind when it comes to pavlik. He was a decent middleweight who was exciting for a while but got exposed as having major technical weakness and as have serious issues with drink. Most people understand that Kelly pavlik has been fighting bums hoping to get a pay day so he can cash out.

He would jump at the chance to fight abraham in Germany, as he would to fight any other fighter who give him a decent pay day - ward, bute, froch, Kessler ....

But he would not stand a chance , I think he would not even stay off the booze in camp.

    Pavlik's team raising the stakes.

Froch fans always give a predictable answer that, when put through the translator comes out as, "Please disparage Pavlik at every turn because we are afraid that he might actually fight Froch and beat the crap out of him knocking him down to 4th in the division from 3rd."

Under Jack Leow's tutelage it would have taken Kelly about 8 rounds to dispose of AA. Under Garcia this is a 4-5 round blow-out; a one-sided ass whoopin' of epic proportions.

Way back in 2007 I said, "AA cannot deal with tall guys who can bang." That's on record. AA's performances in the S6 proved my point.

Agreed. There was a time when most fans thought KP/MK was one of the best fights that could be made at any weight. It's still a damn good fight.

  14. "Negotiating" in this case probably just means "offering Pavlik low money to fight Abraham in Germany and getting turned down immediately."

  15. It's still a great fight but Abraham learned his lesson about coming to the U.S. to fight any type of real opponent.

    Won't happen. :bart
