To be fair the decision had nothing to do with Frank

It really is a sorry state of affairs for Burns and team, there isn't really any defending it.

    Its not the right time . . . . ..

You supposed to be a world champion! Fight the best!

The "it's not enough time" excuse is a bit lame I agree. How many people get 2 months to prepare for a fight? Many of us are lucky to get 2 minutes. So unless Ricky has been on the pies over Christmas and is really out of shape then I don't see what the problem in him fight in February.

If (When imo) Burns ducks Broner AGAIN in May, there is no excuse, absolutely no excuse.

Bore off with this now. There's about 8 threads on here saying the same thing. It's dumb.

No. Not worth my time watching him if he's not fighting the other world class fighters in his division.

    I don't think they give a **** really, Frank ****** certainly won't anyway.

I'll give him a pass for the fight in February but if he finds an excuse again after that then - and I don't like to say this about a Scottish fighter who really has done the country proud - but I will have lost a bit of respect for him. Not that any of them are, or should be, arsed about what anybody on the internet thinks.

Probably yeah, I'm used to the best fighters in a division not fighting each other now, it's normal in boxing.

    Mayweather/Pacquiao
    Price/Fury
    Burns/Broner
    Haye/Vitali

We'll be lucky to see 1 of those get made next year, what a sorry statement.

    "its not the right time"

    lol,

as sergio martinez said to JCCjr, you are a world champion so fight the best and don't be a shameful ducker. Burns should give up his title if he is scared to fight broner, which sadly is what looks to be the case here

Like all boxing fans, I want to see the best in each division fight each other and unify the titles. But...

We've got no idea what terms Burns has been offered. Broner is getting well hyped at the minute but he's hardly a mega star yet, he doesn't draw huge crowds. I doubt the money on offer for Burns to go over there is massive.

I believe the fight will happen but it's wrong to accuse Burns of ducking when we've got no idea of what's really going on. I'm no ***** fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I also don't believe Ricky Burns is a coward for a second and I'm sure the fight will happen next year

There is a reason people are fighters or become one, being terrified of a fight isn't one of them, there is always other circumstances involved, I don't expect a prat like you to understand, Burns is not a coward he would never of stepped in a ring in the first place if he was.

    Wise up you utter *****.

I think his backers have hung him out to dry, in all honesty.

''The final decision is Ricky's and Ricky's alone'', yet constantly making noises about wanting something else first.

Allegedly isn't renowned for sticking his fighters in with the most challenging opponents, and Morrison is loyal to Allegedly.

    Viscious circle.
