Not keen on these awards really,but if anyone deserves one she does.She beat some good opposition to win gold and conducted herself with class before during and since.Agree she should stay amateur.Not Joshua,though,cant fail as a pro for me.Boxers dont usually win superstars.A good omen??

 

It;s just her accent that annoys me, I can't stand the Yorkshire accent

And disgracefully so. He was in the wrong class and wrong sport at the time. The fact that a black woman boxer can (rightfully) win such an award, shows how far this Country has come.

 

Her accent annoys me, also her happy go lucky attitude.

I don't dislike her, i just find how she has come across in most interviews and appearances annoying.

"I am just being honest, better than lying".

She has done well for herself.

 

I had abit of a soft spot for Katie Taylor though, which was very strange, there was just something about her. She has that classic Robin Hood prince of thieves, Shakespeare, classic 1500's look about her.

"She looks like a woman who could be around in them days"

People's features change over time, and i think women throughout the ages have changed.

She does look abit butch because of her boxing training, but that's life. And probably all the supplements she is forced to take has further more enhance her masculine strengths.

But underneath all of that, i can see a natural woman.

Not the type of glamour model, who we all enjoy checking out.

Just a natural handsome woman.

But MBE's were severely devalued when the English cricket team got one each a few years back. Even the also-rans and non-contributors got one. Thrown around like confetti.

 

Fair play to her, but can she now stop appearing on every ****ing tv programme I switch on, turn up to the opening of an envelope she would
