I hate these "Told-ya-so" threads. It's easy for you to criticize in hindsight. Now what if the fight had turned out to be a total disgrace? Would you have made an apology thread?

YES, it was an epic fight. Truly spectacular. But that doesn't erase the fact that on paper it was a less than great matchup due to what happened in part 3. Many people feared the same outcome (gift decision) would occur and they have every right to feel that way.

Btw, how the hell is Round 5 the best of the year? That round was completely one-sided and completely dominated by Pac. Do you mean round 6? Even so, it wasn't that great of a round outside of the obvious punch.

Lol ya ok... The fact that PAC can't beat a 40 yr old lw is pathetic.
This fight was a joke and PAC is an even bigger joke now.
If mayweather was involved in fight of the yr and round of the yr with Marquez PAC fans would be trashing him for it.
Hell even now mayweather would get in **** for fighting marquez!
Stupid pacturds don't get that fight of the yr is usually a fight where it's back and forth slugfest and PAC should be embarrassed for being in one with a guy he should have handled easy(especially being he had 3 fights to learn from)
Have fun watching PAC getting into "battles" with 40 yr old lw.

I didn't order it, but I saw the fight later. I saw what happened. I was on ESB when the knockout happened on IntentionalButts RBR thread.

I still don't get it with Pacquaio blasting everyone out these last couple of years- only to see him so trashed in the end
Something strange had to be going on here -that punch was great but Pac's condition
and THE WAY HE FELL in A HEAP really is mystifying
He's been riding the juice maybe

This is such a ridiculous statement. I don't feel foolish at all for boycotting it. Nobody knew JMM was going to knock Pac out cold. Did you know it was going to happen? Of course you didn't. What was likely going to happen is another gift decision for Pac. Nobody wanted to see that again. Plus, despite their 3 competitive fights some people were just tired of the same story. They wanted to see something new and fresh. The idea of a 4th fight wasn't awful per se. We just wanted to move on because Marquez fans were already convinced he beat Pac at least 2 out of the 3 matches. The 4th fight just adds further evidence JMM is better than Pac. But as a JMM fan I didn't need that fight to convince me.

*******s are trying to convince themselves that this was a better FORTY year old JMM than the previous JMM. The truth is JMM looked old and should have lost. Now they're trying to praise JMM when all along they have been bashing him until the KTFO. JMM has always been better than Manny. Anybody who knows boxing knows this.

It was only idiots who said they would boycott the fight.

Given how competitive the first 3 were the fight had to be made really.

No serious boxing fan would have chosen to deliberately not watch the fight.

Actually the real idiots are the ones who let Arum continue to feed them with in-house fights. Not to take anything away from Pac-JMM 4, it was a great fight, but fans have to somehow end the TR vs. GBP feud. The best way to do that is to boycott fights. It may not be guaranteed to work but it at least lights a fire under Arum if our voice and actions are strong enough.

I streamed the **** out of the last Pacquiao fight and I don't feel ashamed at all. We deserve superfights that require co-promotion. We should have gotten Pac-Floyd over Pac-JMM 4. I want to see Rios-Matthysse. I will be happy to PAY for these type of fights if and when they happen.

Btw, I don't think anyone was disgusted and deliberately not watch Pac-JMM 4. It's more of a case of finding something better to do (people actually have a life outside of watching sports) than to see JMM get robbed again which was the popular prediction among JMM fans.

If I was'nt such a big fan of Marquez I would have boycotted the fight.

How many times does one have to see a bogus decison come before one say's "enough!"

I could'nt pass up the chance to watch Marquez school Pacquiao for a 4th time even knowing that the chances of yet another corrupt decision was likely to be the outcome again.
