In America, the contingent of black fighters is significantly stronger than that in England.

We have a domestic scene of fighters in the UK who fight for the Area, British, and Commonwealth titles. We don't just start to appreciate when they reach world level, many fighters here who fight domestically all receive good exposure whether they fight for the three titles I mentioned or not. We're passionate about our fighters, we get behind them and Boxing is just a sport that has lived strongly down here.

Also, in America, you have a lot of white boxers but they often come up against the black contingent and often lose against these guys, and most of these guys don't get exposure till they reach the world scene anyway, so that's why you see a lot of black boxers mainly popping up when we finally get to see them on TV in America.

It's an interesting question but I think it's just a case of era.

Weren't that long ago the best Brits were Lewis, Bruno, Benn, Eubank and hamed.

    A couple of points:
    1. It's Brits, not Britts
    2. Britain includes Scotland and Wales - it's not just England. Both of these 'extra' countries have produced a fair number of world champions
    3. Scotland and Wales have pretty much only white champions as they tend not to have non-white residents. The majority of English champions are black as the white/black divide is practically equal (in London this year there were more non-whites born than whites)

Not true England imports on a World stage... Brazil, italy,Argentian,Mexico, USA, India, ect. NFL and MLB Usally only targets USA. you hardly see imports in American Football. MLB you see some but not as wide spread as Euro Fottball

Thats an interesting question but something i've noticed on here and in american society in general is that white americans seem to have a real fear of black americans like complete pussys. This ***** fear factor doesn't exist in european society imo.

If this is what transfers to the likes of hatton, calzaghe, groves, cleverly, klits etc i don't know? but its an interesting question.

There are 92 professional football teams in England, and only the top teams are really full of foreign players. Boxing is far from first choice for kids here.

I'm not talking about professional leagues.

I mean football in general at grass roots level, in England everyone plays or has played football at some point, it's by far the main sport.

I think this is part of the equation. It seems in America fear of the black man is stronger, respect for his athletic prowess is stronger, fear of his large ***** is stronger etc... I think there's a lot more racial TENSION in the states as compared to Europe. You fear what you aren't familiar with and because there's more tension\fear in the states there's less familiarity. There are plenty of people descendant from slaves in Europe so they have that genetic pool it's just Europeans tend to see them as human beings with human weaknesses rather than in the States where they seem to be seen as unbeatable supermen. Could you imagine a white American going into the ring with Roy Jones and being confident he was faster than him the way Calzaghe did? Imagine a hard hitting tough American fighter in the mould of Nigel Benn retiring against a durable white fighter like Steve Collins? For all the controversy there's no doubt Vitali wasn't scared of Lennox. Even after getting stopped he was desperate to get back in there with him, that's how confident he was he could beat him.
    A different mind-set, basically.

IN America???? there is no fear of any particular man..or Race but the reason why you don't get alot of white athletes in boxing is because most white americans tend to have a white collar background. especially in hot beds on the west coast and east coast. thats why most white americans who box come up int he weak circuts of say MN, VA, MT, those type of states where it's easy to build records and they fight BUMS. hell even the black fighters and Hispanic fighters suck from those areas. bu you get them from the hotbeds on the west coast or east coast and it shows that they get better sparring and training
