    Mosley actually beat DLH twice.

DLH's best wins: Old Chavez, old Whitaker, Quartey, Vargas
Mosley's best wins: De la Hoya, Vargas, Margarito

    Both lost against good opponents.

I prefer Shane, but De La Hoya has the better legacy.

Although I understand the comparison, I really do not feel this is close. The Golden Boy by a mile.

De La Hoya has never been caught for PED use.

    Shane has.

    Its a no brainer.

ODLH easily for me.... not only because of the 2nd fight robbery.
His resume is a who is who of every single significant fighter that was active in the same timeframe.

He might not have always won but he has a lot of good wins + he dared to be great.

Vargas was all but done when Mosley fought him... one of the best names on shanes resume? yes.... best actual wins? hardly.

    I actually totally agree.

Within the context of those fights, and the way Mosley was able to beat Collazo as oppossed to the ugly first fight with nando, I think that was a better win too.

Beating Vargas at that point does have its slight merits. Vargas was completely past it n yet still managed to beat Castillejo (while thats not super, Castillejo then went up and dethroned Sturm, which gives it a bit of credibility)

but regardless, Vargas was done as a top fighter in their first fight, and even moreso in the rematch in which he was full blown shot.

He would subsequently go on to lose to mayorga in his very next fight and retire.

The vargas wins are rather meaningless for Mosley.

Collazo was at his best, had just given Ricky Hatton hell (and arguably should have gotten a draw or even a win against him) and the way Mosley dealt with him was impressive.

Much better win than Vargas given their contexts at the time.
