Rigondeaux fans should be glad that Donaire hasn't fought him yet

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by BobTheBuilder, Dec 30, 2012.

  1. Here are 5 reasons-

    1. Rigondeaux has done absolutely **** all to deserve it and not beat anyone who has ever even come close to being in the pound for pound top 100.

    2. He has too chances against Donaire- slim and none.

    3. Slim has just left town.

    4. Rigondeaux has no chin and Donaire is perhaps the hardest p4p puncher in the sport.

    5. Donaire is perhaps the all round best fighter in the sport. Ask Darchinyan. Ask Montiel. Ask Nishioka

hope this fight happen next year..
im excited to see Rigo get an ass kickin from Nonito..

  3. He will be exposed. I only want to see this happen because all we will ever hear from the ******s is Donaire ducked Rigondeaux, blah, blah, blah

I want to see him fight Mares then move upto featherweight

Rigondeaux can busy himself with C Level fighters still.

Rigo is quite a fighter, but probably does need alil more time getting acquianted in the pros. Amateur greatness only helps so much. Woulf like to see how he does vs a Darchinyan, Moreno, Agbeko, or Perez before taking on,a beast like Nonito.

    1. I don't care if Rigo has 2 wins on his resume. He's still 5 times better than Arce and has a better chance beating Donaire than Arce did. Do you see Mares calling out Arce? Don't think so.

    2. Looks like Donaire fights only two kinds of fighters these days: either old or washed up

    3. Make that three: old AND washed up as well

    4. Donaire has a suspect defense and has never been tested by body shots. Rigo is one of the best body punchers in the game. Also, he's never been KOed. Jelly legs don't mean **** if you can recover. Ask Floyd. Or better yet ask JMM.

    5. Try again. Ward, Mayweather, and JMM are better fighters than Donaire. Beating Arce didn't do **** for Donaire's career. Did it enhance Donaire's legacy? Nope. Did it make him a PPV star? Nope. Pointless fight.

Rigo hasn't done **** and frankly, I dont know why people are so eager to see him fight Nonito cuz stylistically, it's not even an exciting matchup..

Nonito-Mares would be fireworks though due to such contrast of styles.. Mares is gonna be Mares and give Nonito many countering opportunities.. This fight is so interesting cuz of the variables.. Can nonito handle the nonstop pressure of Mares?? he's never fought anyone like him before..

    **** Rigo..

Donaire better hope Rigo doesn't time his left hook. Straight punches get to the mark quicker than looping ones

Why would I want Donaire to fight an amateur fighter? If you beat a good fighter, you get good credit for it. Simple as that. Who else is Donaire going to fight anyway? He's running out of good in-house opponents. Might as well be Rigo if it's not Mares. I just hope you Donaire fans don't say he was washed up when he loses to Rigo.

    - Mares is the only competition for him, Rigo is for ass kickin only, and a win for Rigo won't enhance his legacy either. His legacy will be cemented as soon as he moved up in weight & cleaned up the FW & SFW division..

Cubans make dirty, lousy pros. That is all. :good

  14. 1. Arce was a stay busy fight for Donaire

    2. Arce deserved a good payday to end his career on.

    3. Arce recent win over Vazquez Jr was a better win than Rigondeaux has had his whole carrer and Arce was on the shortlist for fighter of the year in 2011 (got an honorable mention in the Ring fighter of the year- something Rigondeaux has never btw))

    4. Arce comes to fight and is more entertaining from a fans perspective. I could see a Rigondeaux-Donaire fight resembling Donaire- Navarez.

    5. Rigondeaux was a good armature. Whoop de doo. Suppose you think Audley Harrison should fight Wladimir Klitschko too.
