Wlad was the next dominating heavyweight.. Unfortunately Vitali's era ended quickly with the injury

 

ended partially, he was back in 2008 and dominant since then for a next
3 years so overall Vitaly's record during 2000'thies is higher that Levis's
during 2000-2003, being linear is just a small point toward Lewis
since he earned this before 2000 and lost it once after that.

 

You must rate Vitali an ATG to weigh this win so heavily.

He left too soon for that. Wlad is the guy of this era, and the 00s are the post LL era, even tho he was still champ for a couple yrs.

I would take the Klitschko's wins over Byrd, Chambers, Peter, Ibragimov and Chagaev over either of the above.

 

Lennox was the only undisputed Heavyweight of the decade. No one else got even close to that.

Whether its money, belts, significance, #1 contenders defeated, Lennox was the best of the decade.

I'm not sure I would brag about having the illustrious "Biggest Rematch of the Decade," especially when it's happening because I was KTFO.

 

At the very least, Lennox rematched and beat the guys who KTFO'ed him.

What happened to Wlad's rematch with Sanders? Why did Wlad wait until Brewster had one eye before rematching him?

 

Thats because Wlads rematch against a guy with a detached retina 3 years after the fact was uneventful. Wlad didnt really spark Brewster the way Brewster sparked him. Lennox gave us fireworks and possibly the sickest left-right of all time.

And on the flip side of the coin when Lewis won a very debatable decision over Ray Mercer and then went life and death with Vitali, why didn't he rematch these men?

There are more eloquent ways to begin to attempt to make a point.

I still don't see why "Biggest Rematch of the Decade" is something to brag about. Is it neat that he beat everyone who beat him? Yeah, that's a cool piece of trivia, but it would have been more impressive if he wasn't KTFO by Rahman the first time, precluding the need for a rematch at all and improving his career, and decade, record.

It'd serve your (and MVC's) outlandish argument if Lewis had been 7-0 in the '00s rather than 6-1, no? So let's not pretend that loss is a good thing because it set up an opportunity for
