Not an ATG at 130 Hernadez even though he was old, and Corrales to top notch fighters there. Went to 135 and fought the toughest gy there in Castillio but I guess that doesn't matter. Tried to fight Cotto and Hatton at 140 both said no. Fought Mosley, Judah, Baldimir, Hatton, and Marquez at 147. Has fought De La Hoya and Cotto at 154. A cherry picker yes at this point he fights for the most money, did he try to fight Pacquioa yes, everytime a negotiation was started it was by Mayweather. Arum said he was talking to Mayweather about the fight at on point but no one from Mayweathers team were involved, then they asked Arum to call them, that never happened. Fighters that Mayweather ducked Margarito and Paul Williams, Margarito because of Arum and Williams because of the toughness of the fight and the amount of money to be made. Even Uncle Roger said that would be a tough fight with Williams.

2005 in the same video he calls out Shane and Oscar..

In 2006 he beats Zab, fought Baldomir who had the IBO,WBC,IBA and Ring Welterweight title, who on video Kenny Bayless calls him out and says "why do you not fight Baldomir",as to allude he is scared but later beats him easily and all is forgot.

    2007

Oscar De La Hoya - WBC Light Middleweight title
Shane Mosley - WBC Light Middleweight title

He beats Oscar that year, and I think even at that time he beats Shane.. 3 years after him losing to Winky who had great defense.

    2008

He takes a vacation to take a break from boxing, does not necessarily mean he is ducking Margarito..

    2009
Andre Berto - WBC Welterweight title

Andre Berto,I think it is fair to say he beats Berto in 2009,Berto a solid fighter but B+ caliber..

    2010
Manny Pacquiao - WBC / WBO Welterweight title
Juan Manuel Marquez - WBC / WBO Welterweight title

Tried to make fight with Pac even at the time Pac would get 50% of the share but Pac rejects..

    2011

Timothy Bradley - WBC / WBO Welterweight title
Amir Khan - WBC / WBO Welterweight title

I mean I think it is fair to say he beats both?? Bradley you can have a case for but is Tim gonna outbox or out muscle Floyd?

Dude I think floyd beats everyone of them, just would have rathered his resume look a little more like this although Williams and Margarito are tough calls because of their size advantage

Margarito would've been a walk in the park. Slow as **** and does nothing but plod. Cotto dominated Margs and he's 1/2 the boxer Floyd is (at best). Also, Floyd used his legs a lot during the time Floyd/Margs would've happened. Simply no chance Marg beats Floyd, zero. Oh, and Floyd wouldn't have gassed the way Cotto did. No chance, zero.

If you want to see how Margs/Floyd would've went, watch Floyd/Baldomir

In terms of greatness it's gonna be tough evaluating him for a while but in terms of skill level I'm confident calling him the best fighter since Jones Jr.

    Baldomir is 5'7
    Floyd is 5'8
    Margarito is 5'11
    Williams is 6'1!!!

Baldo and Margo are two seperate fighters, I know from first hand experience that height and size can make a difference in a fight.

I fought a friend of mine (5'11-6'0 roughly) whilst im 5'7-5'8 and we both weighed 147 at the time . . . .dont get me wrong my friend cant box and was only there because this guy who gave all talk about kicking my ass in the boxing ring and never turned up but i digress.

I outboxed my friend but it was still difficult getting my jab higher and admittedly i was being backed up to the ropes quite a lot, not that im comparing him and i to Mayweather and Margarito/Williams in terms of class, far from it in fact but consider Mayweathers defensive style vs a taller aggressive fighter in Margarito, you cant deny it would be a difficult fight for floyd, plaster or no plaster.

Calm down with your shitty personal experience. It has zero relevance when analyzing the likes of Floyd versus Margs.

Assuming they did fight immediately after the Cotto fight, Floyd was still using his legs. Cotto dominated Margs for the first six rounds of their fight by simply sticking and moving. Cotto then gassed out and the battering began to take place.

Floyd doesn't gas out and boxes significantly better than Cotto. What's there to not understand? The fight would've been very boring and full of Floyd moving, potshotting, grabbing and holding... en route to a wide UD.

The Williams fight is a different story

Mayweather is clearly head and shoulders above the competition of his era and I don't see anyone who could've beaten him unless he had an off night (which is completely plausible).

The fights I would have liked to see him fight was Casamayor between '01-'03, Hatton in '05 @140 would've been better and Cotto in '07 or '08.

    1. Mayweather and Tszyu were never in the same weight class at the same time. Mayweather beat Gatti after Kostya lost to Hatton.
    2. If Mayweather avoided anyone it was Cotto after he beat Mosley.
    3. It's imposible for anyone including Mayweather to fight someone that refuses to fight you.

Williams and Marg would never do anythong to increase his standing. Fighters of that caliber dont move you up the atg ranks.

something like this. Not many guys will have the opportunity Leonard did to fight Benitez,Duran and Hearns in a 2 year period, but Mayweather had guys to fight which would have elevated his legacy. Who he has fought with Marquez and Cotto (older) and handpicking will not give him the legacy near elites of other eras. Just sharing the ring with fellow elites means something regardless of a loss.
