Are we thinking of the same Margarito fight? The way i remember it Manny beat him to a bloody pulp and hardly sustained much damage at all, other then a decent body shot

 

Margarito got in his licks but Manny beat him down much worse. Nevertheless, Manny wouldn't have spent time in the hospital after the fight if he wasn't hurt. The Margarito fight convinced Roach & Co. to not throw him in with bigger men anymore.

yeah he got ko'd and been in wars, but so have alot of other boxers, especially jorneyman who get ko'd for a living.

Even if this story was false, I'm glad it leaked out there, so Arum can't rush Manny back into the ring, if was up to him and Roach Manny would fight in Aprilatsch

 

Oh yes, he whupped Margarito's ass. But lost in that asswhupping was Margarito landing some very significant shots in between.

There was just no excuse for someone like Manny to be hit 229 times by Margarito. Here was a much smaller man, fighting as if he's still in ring with Barrera at 126 or something.

 

If MP is in fact suffering from brain injury, it didn't just happen in 1 or 2 brutal fights. It's an accumulation of taking punches to the head throughout his entire career. So even a feather fisted fighter like Bradley could have easily sent him over the edge. If you crack a rib even the most careful type of breathing can hurt. When you're in a delicate state like that you shouldn't take a punch from a pro fighter at all. Damage could've been done in as little as one or two punches. You just never know how someone's body reacts to trauma.

 

And Margarito rehydrated to LHW, he had no business fighting him in the first place

He has achieved a lot and can be proud. A great warrior. Now, he should do the wise thing and retire He got other things in life to move on to

And so we have little Manny Pacquiao, moving up "naturally" and taking flush shots from someone weighing 170+ pounds while continuing to move forward and fire back. Get real.

Arum has been cashing Pac for years now and the gravy train is almost over. He should have just thrown him in with Mayweather. At least it wouldn't have been physically daunting and he could have done well enough to at least earn himself a lucrative rematch.
