Very good fighter,he wasn't happy with amount of fights he was getting and asked to be released.
A fighter as young as him IMO learns or should learn more in the first couple years in the gym,but being a young lad he wants to fight more often, time will tell if he's made the right choice

Burns isn't fighting guys who are near world level either, so it sounds like perfect preparation to me.

he's doing the guy a favour, it's a weeks sparring, not hardcore preparation for his next fight...

Burns is going over to help another pro (for free) and people are still having a pop at him. He is doing bloke a favour, not preparing for a fight, and should be given credit for that.

Some other pros wouldn't cross the road to help another, speaks volumes of him.

He had a horrendous run of luck at the end of the year and no doubt has bills to pay like the rest of us, cut him some slack.

cheers billy. i totally agree that the first couple of years for a young fighter is very important in the learning side of things . surely the amount of fights he was getting was down to the promoter and not you?
