Pride cometh before the fall, and this man always had a tremendous, but false pride. He bragged and bragged like he was Ali when in truth, he had never beaten a SINGLE opponent of any merrit. Even when beaten by Vitali, he claimed a shoulder injury, and I am sure consoled himslef with the fact that he was beaten by one of the thirty best heavyweights to ever fight.

Well, being beaten by Fury, an excellent coming contender but no world beater, must have been a tremendous moment of clarity.

33 is not old, but it is not young. He must of realized that he has dedicated the best years of his life to something that he is not tempermentally suited for, and because of his adversity to taking any kind of damage at all, not that good at.

I am geniuinely sorry for him, because there was a time when I really supported the guy. That support of Kevin Johnson the boxer stopped when Vitali beat his ass, and he still kept jibber jabbering about how good he is without any introspection. It did not stop for Kevin Johnson the man, and I am sorry that he cannot put the false pride aside and become a better boxer/find something else to do with his life.

Instead, he is doing what most of those with deflated false pride who do not wish to face reality do- he is turning towards self destruction.
