Just saw on Twitter where Steve Kim retweed someone who claims to have heard Keith Thurman on a radio show recently, where Thurman stated he'd be fighting Jan Zaveck next.

If true, this could be a very good fight. Presumably, this would take place on the undercard of Cloud-Hopkins, which takes place March 9th at the Barclays Center.

Not bad would have preferred Abregu for Thurman instead.

Abregu needs to get in the mix too. Hope he has a fight lined up soon.

As for Thurman vs Zaveck it will be a good scrap if true. :bbb

Jan Zaveck is one of those guys who no one worth a damn in their rightful mind would go near, because he's so dangerous. While not "ranked" among Brook, Paulie, Alexander, Bradley, Mayweather, JMM, or Pacquiao; I'd pick him over the first three I listed for sure and he is a solid opponent for ANYONE, let alone a prospect/contender in Thurman.

Style wise, I see a great fight taking place, and while everything inside me says Zaveck, I think for some reason Thurman pulls this one off and I and others will have to give him mad credit for it.

Would be good to see Zaveck get another fight after he risked his belt in the US.

Zaveck fought Berto tough and deserved a US return fight on HBO. Looks like he will get his chance

I like both guys and I think Zaveck might win this
