How popular is the Ring Magazine?

pretty much sums it up

 

Like most print magazines, RING is no longer relevant -- MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE for old news 'n photos that can be gotten off the web for free the next day.

 

Bak in the late 80s and through most of the 90s i could buy the ring magazine in almost any store i went into in Canada. Now you cant find them which i dont mind so much because the Ring has gone way down hill.

 

I don't bother with the print. Instead, I visit the website.

It's more that my phone auto corrects wbo to who.

 

Why, what makes the ring any better?

Ring champ at flyweight is Igarashi, Wbo champ at flyweight is Viloria. Should Igarashi be rated higher purely because of his strap?

It's a shame, because they used to be a lot less biased, and they had a chance to make a serious difference in the sport.

Getting any boxing magazines is impossible. Perhaps only on the intenet.

 

Take or leave the mag. The belt is worth something though, the best belt you can have.

 

Not only is it overpriced, out-of-date the moment it hits newstands and biased towards GBP, it's poorly written too.

 

I preffered the illustration cover and the old The Ring title they had back in the 30's ect too

 

The last true print fight news was Flash Gordon's and Virgil Thrashers newsletters.Ring was doomed the second De la Hoya bought the magazine.

 

I don't know of many places that carry it. Whenever I see it somewhere I am surprised. As others have pointed out, who wants some shitty magazine with old articles when you can get up to the minute information online
