I reckon sky arent to willing for the return of ppv, thats why i think there has been a delay. I think it will happen but there will have to be lots of discussion and convincing.

I don't think Froch would sell enough PPV on Sky. Not the big name outside of boxing that can sell.

Sky aren't willing to give Hearn what he wants- one of the dates out of his contract with Sky to be on PPV. I think that's the sticking point.

The problem is that Kessler is a much bigger draw in Denmark than Froch is here, and given that Kessler holds the W, Froch can't say ''put everything in a pot and we'll do 50-50''.

Kessler is the one who can fight bums and make a killing, Carl isn't ever going to be able to do that.

Sky should say ''you can have PPV if you scrap Prizefighter'' but it'll not happen.

If Carl is not just looking for one fight before retirement whats wrong with Stevensonn first, then Kessler?Surely the former would come to Nottingham? Not pleasant, but this one can be built up partly due to his past, and then he cant accuse Carl,of all people,of ducking him.And I bet they would. Then try to get Kessler to GB,if not neutral ground.IMO 2 wins to cement a great legacy.

Hearn claimed that Froch brings 70% of the money for the Kessler fight to the table, and they have offered Kessler 50/50. Now.. Kessler is a Danish icon, all his fights are on PPV and they do huge numbers of buys. The timezones are similar meaning it's viable for PPV in Denmark, meaning it's 99.999% certain Kessler brings more money to the table.

If I was Kessler and this was the case I'd be rethinking the deal too.

Kessler is an OG. He'll probably come over and fight, be a Boxer and not a Businessman.

Eddie is reaching with this one being over here! Kessler holds all the cards, I'm afraid!

This is similar to the Haye - Wlad situation (Haye brought 50% ish and was offered 60/40 if I remember rightly) But not quite as high scale. Why should Kessler, who potentially brings 60+% of the money to the table (more likely 80%+) take 50%? Just because Saint Edward says so??

THE destination of Carl Froch's next fight should be decided this week.

The IBF have ruled that the Froch camp must complete negotiations on a world title fight with mandatory challenger Adonis Stevenson by January 15.

Froch is hoping to set up a lucrative rematch with Mikkel Kessler, but failure to defend against Stevenson could result in him being stripped of his title.

In that event, Stevenson (19 (16)-1), would likely face Edwin Rodriguez for the vacant belt.

"We should know something in the next few days," said promoter Eddie Hearn.

"If the Kessler fight is finalised we can apply for exemption from the IBF. If we have to give up the belt to fight Kessler, so be it."

Hearn has offered Kessler a 50/50 split to try to lure him to England.

"Considering we bring 70 per cent to the pot, it is a very generous offer," said Hearn. "It is a lot of money, but it is the only way we can get him here.

"It is up to him now. Does he come here for a re-match with Carl or take another easy defence in Copenhagen?

"I'm still hopeful of making the Kessler fight because he will be taking home £2million.

"Even if he loses it will not be the end of his career because we have offered him the chance of a third fight on neutral territory.

"But, if we do not hear from him, we may have to take Stevenson.

"It is a fight Canadian television and HBO are interested in, so there is a lot of money in it."

Despite Hearn saying Froch had outgrown the Capital FM Arena following his last win against American Yusaf Mack, he revealed any Stevenson fight would be back in Nottingham.

Hearn added: "It would be another Nottingham fight at the end of March or April."

Stevenson said: "I'm finally realising my goal of a world championship fight, facing a great champion like Carl Froch.

"I know he's had great victories during his career, particularly against two other Quebec fighters, Jean Pascal and Lucian Bute.

"But I have all of the tools needed to emerge victorious."

Stevenson, born in Haiti, has had the majority of his fights in Canada. His lone defeat came when he was stopped by Darnell Boone in Maryland in 2010.

Yvon Michel, president of Stevenson's promoters, added: "Carl Froch not only has the obligation to fight Adonis Stevenson but the 'Superman' fight is certainly the most profitable, as well as the best alternative for the champion and his only way to keep his IBF title belt.

"I know Froch's promoter wants this fight to take place in England. From our side, we will rally all of Quebec Nation to get behind us and try to convince the SuperSix finalist to come here to defend his crown in March or April.

"We have sent a very generous offer. He had the opportunity to beat Pascal and Bute in Nottingham. But isn't it his turn to visit us in Quebec?"

Oh its coming brother, its on the way baby! :deal

Don't allow yourself to be brainwashed by the Hearn brigade, or the Frocholites. He has always been a limited fighter, over rated, with great fight and heart, and a solid chin.

Boxing aint just about 2 or 3 things. And Carl will always be left wanting whenever he fights more complete BOXERS.

He wins fights when his opponent rushes in, throws the gameplan out, and fights down to his level. Once they do that, they do exactly what Froch wants, its a leveler.

But when they step back and box, he is made to look hopeless, stiff and very slow.
