This guy looks decent - on paper at least. He fought 9-0 Olu Durodola last week, who I have had my eye on for a couple of months due to his high KO% despite fighting only a couple of pounds above 200. Muralimov won that fight TKO5. 11 of his wins by KO now. I don't think he's been mentioned on here before which is surprising because he appears to be in a similar mould (powerful guy from an ex-Soviet state based in the US) to Abdusalamov who gets talked about on here a lot, except Mago is painfully slow and already in his 30s while Muralimov is only 24. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccFi9KgAeeU[/ame] He looks alright here but needs to lose a few pounds. Clearly has power, his arms look impressive anyway.
Fair enough. The guy does have 11 KO wins from 12 though (albeit against average oppo, but then again that applies to nearly all guys in their first 10 fights.) He stopped Durudola who from what I can gather is a very small HW but also a murderous puncher in the Herbie Hide mould. If Muralimov can take his shots for a few rounds and stop him, he must be decent.
Can't say I saw anything special from that clip that suggests he'll become a top 20 type. Maybe he'll end up as as another Tyson Fury opponent.
its hard to say how good he is, hes just beating cans. i luv how he moves and ducks out of the way. reminds me of old mike.
Recently, Ahror participated in TOUGHFIGHT tournament which was held in Russia and won all the opponents by KO. 1/4 Final: Ahror Muralimov - Pavel Gaytanov http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sQHpRUHkDZM 1/2 Final: Ahror Muralimov - Aleksandr Nesterenko http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYPMOH6aA10 Final: Ahror Muralimov - Aleksey Varakin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xM16YZmX26A
Hard to find much on him. Would like to see how he does once he starts stepping up to tougher fighters.
