whats happening with froch ?

Cherry picked once again, vintage Hearn.

The bloke has fought nobody and will crumble under Froch in the UK. We know the score now, it will be over here, hyped to f*ck on Sly Sports, Stevenson will come in and fight Froch's fight and Froch will win.

First Mack, now Stevenson. Just awful.

But of course all the :tired will bite as usual. They sell themselves nowadays, easily pleased, easily fooled :hey

Said it before, Matchsticks know the limitations of Froch now (although they wont say that in the media), they dont want to put Froch in with Kessler or Ward until it is absolutely inevitable. Because Hearn knows the risk, so they might aswell get as many fights crammed in as possible, until a risky fight, because if Carl looses, it doesnt matter as much and they can still make £ of the fight with Froch going into one with a winning streak.

Thats what its all about. Carl Froch could fight Kess or Andre Ward next if Hearn really wanted it.....but we know whats going on, and we'll be seeing it with Brook if he wins that IBF strap. :good

Matchoom and Froch desperately need and want Kessler. Sauerland and Kessler don't really need or want Froch.

This should be a 50/50 split in fairness. However I feel Kessler brings more to the table. Without Kessler there is no blockbuster fight.

 

I'm getting the impression Kessler isn't too keen on this fight. He doesn't need the money and he doesn't have a loss to avenge. His career is back on track and Froch represents a real risk for that. Matchroom will have to make him an offer he can't refuse.

If they can't afford Kessler, the Stevenson fight is a decent back-up option. Shame they couldn't have got the mandatory out of the way instead of the Mack fight though.

 

I don't think its fair that people are criticising Hearn and Froch for Stevenson being selected as an opponent.

If they want to keep the belt and the bargaining power that comes with it then they have to take the Stevenson fight, I'm sure they would much rather not.

They're been forced into it hence the reason we probably won't hear anything right up the Jan 15th deadline set by the IBF.

If the Kessler fight can't be made straight away, they should just fight Stevenson in a big fight in Nottingham and they try for the Kessler fight in the summer in this football ground fight that Hearn so desires.

 

Kessler wins the rematch if its in Nottingham or Denmark..

 

What else is out there for Kessler if he chooses not to fight Froch?

He'll probably makes less money and have a tougher opponent in Ward, maybe he is hoping to get AA over to Denmark but that's a fight I could see AA avoiding.

Other than that what has Kessler got? A fight with Bute? Unlikely in my mind, other wise he is just chasing the scraps of the division in Pavlik or Bika etc.

He is probably just playing hard ball, sounds to me like the PPV hasn't been agreed with Sky and that Kessler is protesting that they would make £££ in Denmark and that he shouldn't have to travel for a lower purse.

Hearn really needs to pull this one out the bag and fast as a defence against Stevenson is not going to excite anyone.

 

As has already been mentioned, why opt to fight Mack if you know that the deadline on your mandatory is coming up?
