Why would Canelo get stripped? He holds the WBC title. Trout holds the WBA. Lara-Martirosyan was an eliminator to become Canelo's mandatory, but it ended in a draw so there won't be a mandatory until they rematch. There's no obligation for Alvarez to fight Trout. I'd like to see the fight, but I don't think it's unreasonable that he wants a guarantee that he'll get a Mayweather fight even if he loses.

Golden Boy is certainly afraid though. Canelo called out Trout, and GBP's been doing all they can to try to backtrack.

Not scared. GBP might be scared of him losing and Mayweather retiring soon, leaving them without the huge star they want to work with though..

We'll see who he fights next... Guaranteed Mayweather fight or not he should be fighting Trout next, I don't care who's card it's on.

Canelo is a joke...I never saw in my life a champ who fight so many small and old ppl one after the other...even the 10 years old fight ppl from their weight classes...this kid is not good for boxing...he will duck the top 5 JMW forever because he is a paper champ and a ducker who is afraid to lose that 0 that he keep for fighting small and old dudes....shame on this attitude...

If he was scared to lose that 0, he'd be calling out Cotto not Mayweather.

Scared or not they'll end up fighting unless one of them completely fall off the radar which I doubt. There's just no possible way for them to run away from each other. They're still young therefore time and pressure will force them in the same ring. It's not like Floyd and Pac where they were already in their 30's when their rivalry began.

Vladimir did it and so did Morales. Im sure there are others. It makes for great press and more tickets sold. He needs to fight Trout now and stop the ducking talk. After all, Trout called his ass out and everybody heard it. That would be an excellent start on his legacy if he can handle it. At 22, he should be up for that. 22 year olds wouldn't duck Gonzilla cause they fight just for the sheer joy and they feel invincible. A scared 22 year old is a sad sight.:bbb

Canelo would destroy Trout wtf guys. If Trout thought 154 Pound Cotto had power hes gonna be running all night when Canelo touches him.

I'm not gonna vote. The truth is that Golden Boy would rather cash in on Canelo taking low risk fights, like he's been doing.
