Tyson Fury is not a comedian. He is the #1 ranked Heavyweight contender in the World. He is deadly serious.
Willie Pep, I. He was a born stand-up comic. The only reason he came to the gym was not to box (He could to do that like a dream, wakened out of a sound sleep), but to break everybody up.
Mayorga Camacho Hamed are the ones that come to the top of my head, sure theres many others im not thinking of
"Funniest" is tough. If we go by some combination of humor, excitement, and genuineness, I agree with previously mentioned: Tyson, Foreman, Hamed, Augustus. Camacho and Mayorga of course as well. Jack Johnson deserves a shout, considering his era, the media and his portrayal. I also would like to throw Paulie Malignaggi out there.
I know he's one of two guys that everybody talks about all the time and it's annoying and gets old, but how about Floyd Mayweather Jr? A lot of his trash talk and random blabbering is better than a lot of the previously mentioned guys. -"We gonna whip him and throw him in the dungeon, naked." -"Do the jerri curl..." -"Are you willing to die?" -"Oscar's wearing drag. Ortiz looking like a Victoria's Secret model. I mean, what the **** is goin' on?!?!" -"Vernon Forrest ****ed you up. Winky Wright ****ed you up. Miguel Cotto ****ed you up. Floyd Mayweather? I'ma **** you up some more." -(imitating of Hatton's yelling while throwing hooks and imitating of Cotto's T-Rex arms) -(gladiator entrance vs. Baldomir, throne entrance vs. Gatti) -"I hit him with the two piece biscuit." -"Patriots" (spoken prediction of NFL game to Lampley during the fight with Bruseles) -"You don't know **** about boxing. HBO needs to fire your ass." -(Merchant's '50 years younger' remark) "You ain't gonna do ****." -(sucks on Victor Ortiz's nose) -"We gonna chop him up and cook him with cats and dogs." I don't know how Camacho and Mayorga can get so many shouts yet Floyd none. People will try to say Floyd's trash talk is dumb and racist, but that's exactly the same as Camacho and Mayorga's. The youtube videos titled "Mayweather's Verbal Assault on ___________" are classics. They have one for Oscar, Hatton, Mosley, and Ortiz.
James Toney once called Antonio Tarver an abortion that lived, I laughed for about half an hour after that one.
