Say for example, he fought Price This year, and Price landed a big right hand and stopped him, would his entire legacy be ****ed? I think it would be very easy to pick holes in the last 4-5 years of his career, and his stock would crash. I'm not saying it would happen, but how secure do you think his legacy is? Because I think it's shaky and he needs to get to the finish line without another loss
He's been on top for too long to be forgotten in boxing history. If he fought Price tomorrow, lost, then retired, he'd still end his career with a record or 59-4 and a long reign as champion
If he wants a shot at being an ATG in the top, eh, 10-12, then I'd say he definitely needs to finish out without a loss and continue to beat top 15 ranked guys routinely.

Agree with this To answer the OP, it would raise a lot of questions, I think my opinion would be that as soon as he fought someone bigger than him with decent skills he got done, and was a bit of an illusion in a weak era. harsh but that's how i'd feel Doubt it happens though.

I agree with part 1 to the extent of media and American fanboys. Disagree heavy with part 2. Ward has already had a better prime and peak victories while gaining rapid ground on the whole career of Joe Calzaghe.

I think the people who paid attention during Wlad's reign will always remember how dominant he was, but as the years go by alot of people will call him a pretender who fought poor opposition, but it isnt Wlad's fault he's head and shoulders above everyone in the division. I dont think he loses until he starts to decline IMO most likely late 2014-2015.
He has the opportunity to prove himself with some respectable HWs around now that will vastly improve his legacy. But he has to fight them and win but he could also not fight them or lose.
Honestly....history (and fans) would be very cruel to him. Glad he will be facing the next generation of decent HW's.
