Mike Perez gunning for Price

I can see it.

We HAVE improved a lot since the 80's-90's but our talent is still managed terribly.

I used to look at DeGale as someone who could go places, but he was rushed into a fight with groves and is STILL with that bum ass trainer McDonagh

 

right now for me Price would KO Perez around mid to late rounds.
Price is in great shape. Perez simply doesn't take care of himself.
Also before Perez had a chance of getting in he would be eating hard straights from price.

Only way Perez would win is if he trained like an animal and got in the shape of his life.
Then its possible for sure. Probably UD due to the size difference.

 

A Perez fight would excite me a lot more than damaged goods Tiger T.

 

Have to laugh at all those who slate Perez for being inactive. it's not laziness, it's a combination of 2 things. Being contracted to a pretty dismal manager who couldn't organise a p*ssup in a brewery, and the fact that nobody with any aspirations of doing things in the game want to fight him as he is high risk with little reward.

The ironic thing is Perez has been in the best shape of his pro career during the last year of inactivity. He has had quality sparring and I know for a fact sparring partners went away talking him up in a way that would put off potential opponents.

The "name" fighters dont want live prospects, and Perez is a live prospect without the proper backing. Hearn would sign him in the morning if it wasn't for his crazy contract with his current management.

I've seen the guy in the gym and you would be shocked at how conditioned he is right now.

I don't think he is a top level prospect by any means, but I reckon he is at the very least on par with Fury and Price, possibly even better. The more high profile the fight the better Perez will be, with the motivation of a big fight he will up his performance tenfold.

His preparation for the Chagaev fight was first class, he was driven, focused, in superb shape and quicker than ever.

Such a shame he got injured (genuine shoulder problem by the way), it would of been a real break out fight for him. Without being able to mix it up on the domestic or European scene he needs to do it the hard way and improve his ranking bit by bit. But he just cannot get fights

 

I like Perez,but price is to big for him
