WSB (World Series of Boxing) - Season 3 ***Champions: Kazakhstan Astana Arlans***

Sorry to have missed it. I was so caught up on catching the Italy Thunder vs. the USA Knockouts, the rest of the day's schedule completely slipped my mind.

 

All three judges gave it 10-9 to Picardi.

 

Round 2

Picardi is scoring with big looping lefts catching Perez standing straight up. Picardi is swinging from the back row and catching Perez from odd angles. Perez tries to establish his jab on the outside but can't hold Picardi off. Picardi is missing about three for every one he lands, but affecting Perez with his heavily loaded shots.

20-18 Picardi

 

All three judges have it 20-18 to Picardi.

 

Round 3

Picardi is switching frequently from orthodox to southpaw and scoring with jabs and high lunges from either stance. Perez tries to drop the jab on him from outside but Picardi is hunkering under it and chiseling the body. Light flurries by Perez after leaning down on Picardi to negate his offense until a break. Picardi raises his gloves to keep the leather out and waits his turn, looping shots upward as Perez backs straight up. Picardi catches Perez swinging a roundhouse right and they clinch up. Another big exchange at the bell.

30-27 Picardi

 

All three judges have it 30-27 to Picardi.

 

Round 4

Picardi is scrapping his way in and landing with pinball launchers with either hand. Perez is grabbing every time he gets hit. Perez tries to put combos together, but is punching through molasses with no speed or zip. Light uppercuts strung together by Perez, having no effect. Picardi is circling around him as a southpaw, bouncing on his toes and throwing whip-over right hooks and clubbing body lefts from awkward angles.

40-36 Picardi

 

All three judges have it 40-36 to Picardi.

 

Round 5

Picardi is running in and pounding the body with around-the-world yo-yo tricks with both arms. Perez is holding and pushing, abandoning his jab. Picardi down, slip. Picardi keeps rushing in and roughing Perez up, slamming his arms into the American's midriff and shaking off his clinch attempts.
