Ricky Burns facebook status saying "big fight will hopefully be announced soon"

I agree. I watched a couple of Vazquez fights on youtube last night and also a sparring video. He wasnt what i would call a typical come forward fighter, infact in some of the comments people were calling him a runner. He moves alot, boxes nice and seems like a thinker. He looks a much better boxer than Demarco thats for sure. To be honest, judging by the fights i seen of Vazquez last night i think Burns will have to be the aggressor if they fight.

 

If its not Vasquez they will be. Demarco is a poor fight too.

 

Demarco compared to Liam Walsh/Jose Ocampo or some of the other shite that Uncle Frank likes to serve up, is a decent fight, yes he is coming off a loss, yes we wanted the Broner fight but everything considered, I can't moan.

I was (is?) expecting Scott Harrison or Barrera.

 

Lets hope guys were not setting ourselves for a big fall

Vasquez or Gamboa or its a bag o wank

 

Gamboa is a great match up for Ricky, for whatever reason Gamboa is not the fighter he was, ricky too big, too long and most importantly too motivated.

 

I agree its better than the usual shite but its still pretty embarrassing, fighting a guy the man you have been accused of ducking has just battered.

 

stylewise a fight against Demarco would only lead to negativity towards Burns, first, they will say he's fighting Broners leftovers, then once Ricky takes Demarco to a decision they will say "well look what Broner did to him, he will eat Burns for breakfast"
