I am talking about trainers of champion fighters, like Roach, Nacho, Diaz, Hunter and so on. There is a thread on ESB where nacho said that he wont train Chavez jr for peanuts so how much do these trainers ask for.

I personally think that maximum 5% of the purse is what they deserve. A complete Fighter on the top of his game simply just needs a coach to hold his mitts and give advice in the corner. More than 50-60 grand wouldnt be fair imho.

Thats a complete fighter. At the very top there are only a few of those.
If you give Donaire to shitty trainer right now he would not look the same. Give him to a even better trainer (Yes, Garcia is overrated) he would look even better.

Thats bull****. Donaire holds his camps by his own pretty much. Garcia comes in in the last couple of weeks. Wlad fought against Wach without a real coach and looked just the same.

No way. If Floyd would give him 1 million a fight he would die on all the crack he would take. They showed his house/car in 24/7, no way is he a millionaire.

Floyd Sr. was getting ~ $250k from De La Hoya.
Booth gets quite a lot from Haye considering he's his manager as well as trainer

Source? Or did you pull this out of your ass? There is no way Roach gets 3 Million Dollars for 6 weeks.

Wow 10% is a lot but trainers deserve it at least more than managers

    Depends.
A good manager means you get bigger money oppertunities than with a bad one.
    It all depends.

Ok there might be good examples but didn't Briggs end up with like 20 000$ after the Vitali fight because his manager took most of the money and he had to pay the hospital bill?
