Buzzed for this, to be honest I think both could give Broner a run of his money and either of them dominating the other will put them at #1 of the division.

Burns by clear UD I think.

I have a feeling this might turn out to be a snorefest. I'd still watch it though.

It could, it's one of the most techincal fights in the division, it'll either be amazing to watch or complete dog ****, throw Abril in after and either fighter has the potential to have one tough but possibly boring year.

Burns by stoppage. People underestimate Burns' power, and he's been improving a lot recently.

Perhaps this fight will begin to silence some critics.

This is gonna be an awful style match up, vasquez is great at what he does and a good boxer but hes a spoiler...i expect him to outbox burns but burns to get it on the scorecard...expect to hear the "when you go to a champs country you have to take the belt" lines a la froch v dirrell.

Yet another poor opponent for Burns.
Clear case of ducking again. How dare he take on the IBF champion in a unification bout.
At least Broner fought DeMarco.Vasquez is only the guy who was the concensus #1 at the weight before Broner won a belt.

Anyway, Vazquez got this, unless of course he gets robbed.

The winner of this fight should probably be number 1 in the division. Vasquez would have had a series of title defences plus a Unification fight if he wins. And Burns would have beat Katsidis, Moses, Mitchell and Unified with Vasquez IBF title if he wins.

It's a very tough fight.Vasquez is so unorthodox that it almost looks like he has bad technique at times, but it works for him.
And I've seen Ricky make hard work of tall lanky opponents before that don't fight off the front foot all the time.
No complaints though. This is exactly the test he needs and we'll see exactly where he belongs on the world stage.
Genuine make or break and the likes of PrincessN and dwightsharpe can say **** all about it.

Great fight, it's gonna be tough but hopefully Burns can find a way. Excellent card by the looks of it and credit must go to Wazza.

2013 - the year of the Brits ...... ? :happy
