It's like if by 23 Canelo stopped GGGx2(Lopez), stopped Maravilla (Gomez), and stopped Trout (Nelson) or somewhere around those lines not comparing them and then Canelo suddenly dies in a car accident. How it woulda been if it happened today just so people have an idea.

I cant find a decent picture of it but Pipino Cuevas' pre-fight scowl wouldnt look out of place on a Mexican Mt Rushmore.

He might not be one of the greatest but there arent many Mexicans who are more Mexican than Pipino, so he deserves a mention.

 

Chavez, Olivares, Sanchez.

4th spot is up for grabs between Saldivar and Marquez. The former was the greater fighter but the latter will likely go down as the bigger icon/more recognizable face of Mexican boxing.

 

^ Compare that to how he looks when sat on his stool before the start of a fight. I forget which one, but on one of his fights on youtube the camera focuses on his face for a few seconds

He looks so intense, like a caged animal & he fought like one too.
