Burns gets accused of fighting nobodies and ducking Broner because he had the audacity to ask for a full camp to prepare.
Then he goes in with the IBF champion for a unification fight.

On the contrary, it's also a pretty crazy fight for Vazquez to take. It's highly unlikely he'll get a decision in the UK if the fight is remotely competitive and even more unlikely that he'll win by stoppage. Either Vazquez is supremely confident or he's being compensated extremely well.

 

Ricky Burns the so called 'ducker' takes on the IBF champ, in a unification fight, and the negativity towards him gets worse :huh Ricky should be getting respect for taking on such a tricky opponent. Vazquez is a very hard fight for Burns.

you never know when a good fight can break out. its boxing, it could end in 2 rounds with a great KO. there are great match ups who turn into stinkers

-Mitchel, Ring Ranked number 4

Broner now fighting Rees, who was decent at his best, which was like 4 years ago

great fight for Burns to take, he gets another title for staying on his feet for 12 rounds vs a guy that just doesn't have much power. FW will ensure Burns leaves with those 2 belts as long as he keeps it somewhat competitive which he definitely has the talent to do. This fight has controversial win written all over it. Vazquez will proly deserve the nod in a competitive fight but he signed his own belt away by agreeing to go to the UK. Vazquez will need to clearly win no less than 9 rounds and I just don't see him being able to do that.... I say it'll be a 7-5 or 8-4 type perfromance favouring Vazquez but Burns will be competitive enough to get eat the home town cooking.

I hope Burns smashes him though, not only cause I like Burns and dislike Vazquez but because destroying Vazquez would make the Broner fight much bigger.
