I don't see how floyd would get the nod to be honest, he's got **** all to worry about with Abraham in the skills department. Floyd just ai'nt got the legs or work rate to control this fight, AA is just gonna pile in on him regardless if he hits or missis, floyd will box his head off in bursts but it won't be enough of it over 3 minutes. On paper it's Floyd shutout, but the reality is simple, floyd just can't match AA for Strength/Power & natural weight stamina. This will be in comparison to Benitez fighting Hamsho back in the early 80's when Wilfred stepped up into the 160LB class, i think the headlines read something like this! "GREAT DEFENCE WILFRED! BUT WHAT ABOUT THE OFFENCE? Hamsho just thugged his way to a clear UD.
I think Andre Ward should fight Wlad Klitschko next, seriously guys who comes up with hypothetic matchups like that..
I think Abraham's tendency to cover up anytime an opponent chooses to throw is his undoing. He also walks towards his opponent, allowing them to push him back off balance. Floyd's jab to the body doesn't have to hurt Abraham, but it will certainly be enough to halt his momentum from time to time. I think Floyd would cut Abraham up with his punches. Abraham is barely going to land. He's not skilled enough to bully Floyd up close and he's not hitting him at range. It's risky of course, he's got a shot at making things difficult by throwing in high volume, but your average Abraham performance is not likely to defeat Floyd over 12 IMO.
Two e.g's: Floyd Mayweather Jr (151 lbs) beat Miguel Cotto (154 lbs) by UD in round 12 of 12 for the WBA LMW title. Arthur Abraham (159¾) lbs beat Edison Miranda (159¾) lbs by UD in round 12 of 12 for the IBF title. Floyd Mayweather is the current WBA 154lb champion correct? Abraham was generally considered to be the best 160lber of his generation (Pavlik maybe but imo Abraham!) correct? Numerous fights of this nature have taken place throughout history so why r u alluding to former 90's HW Qawi for? What is so absurd about speculating on how a LMW Floyd would fare against a MW Abraham @ a catchweight? Yes it's an unlikely fight, yes it's also unlikely that Abraham would fight @ 160 at this stage in his career but we can speculate on how Floyd vs a MW Abraham would have panned out had it ever happened! You also stated in this thread that Floyd has been in the ring with men he's given away 10-15lbs (still awaiting a link please!) so what are u whining about? It would be half that amount in this case! Do u not even read what u write? LOL. Maybe i should have been more clear in my O.P and taken into account how stupid some people can be. P.s Dwight Muhammad Qawi weighed 222 lbs when he lost to George Foreman! Absurd to suggest a fight between he and a 125lbs Barrera. Cotto (vs. Floyd) weighed 6lb less than Abraham did when he regularly fought @ MW. Qawi! LOL.
Abraham leaves on a stretcher. But in fairness I should point out he will enter he ring on a stretcher if he tries to go below 160. Not that it would preclude him from getting a decision win in Germany.
At 160 Floyd would still tool AA. AA's punches are so slow and wide and ridiculously predictable, he wouldn't ko floyd if it is 15 rounds. Plus the guy doesn't even like to throw punches.

Things would be different if Abe got quick feet or at least quicker hands. The guy have so much **** (no homo) in his punches, I have a hard time to even imagine of him landing on Floyd. Floyd is a master of hitting guys while they are off balance and skip right back in a range that you can't hit him. Abe just walks in with his hands up, plodding to his opponent and wait for them to get tire while throwing maybe 20 jabs a rounds. Every time Abe takes a step floyd will fire, if abe gets too close, floyd will tie him up or jump out of range or step side out of danger. Floyd doesn't have to run, he just need to move when Abe moves. Floyd has fought plenty of guys that can ko him in the past from corrales, castillo, judah, shane, Oscar, Ortiz. Even with a small ring Oscar who are all much faster fighters than Abe can't ko Floyd so how is Abe going to win? To beat Floyd you need more than just power. You need size, speed, power, boxing IQ, workrate, and range. Like a Tommy Hearns or Ray Robinson.
