I think it is too early to rank him very high but I have no doubts he will go on to not only fight bigger names but beat them up. My opinion on Broner has changed a lot over the last little while. I first thought he was a bit of a D-bag and hype job but I now think his belief in himself is legit and he seems to be a very hungry fighter. He is not looking to win split decisions, he wants to destroy the competition and I have no doubts he will look to build on the Demarco win and challenge himself in the future.

Burns is nowhere to be seen on the list having won 2 belts @ 2 different weights defeating a former and a future champ and a highly regarded prospect in Kevin Mitchell.......

I think Broner is being overhyped at the moment. A talent yes but come on....

Nobody and I'm not impressed with him. He's not on my p4p list.

I'm a fan of Broner and I'm looking forward to seeing him again but he shouldn't really be on any p4p list, he's beaten a few good fighters now but in reality he's still what I consider a prospect.

I know its different weight classes but just imagine what Matthysse would do to ponce by round 6-7 he would be knocked the **** out or running for dear life!!
Also I bet khan can beat beat ponce more impressively then broners close win.

Actual results define status, not the opinion of some ****ing man crush having fruit. Support your view with cold facts, or keep it to yourself.

I don't consider him P4P, but he's on his way. Broner does indeed have the skills and athletic ability to get a few more impressive wins that should justify his P4P position. If he beats Ricky Burns and Miguel Vasquez, that should be enough justification, in my opinion anyway.

Prince Eloy was/is a very good boxer, just too small for Broner. (same dynamic as Mayweather vs. Marquez, but obviously a vastly reduced skill level)

It was more his performance against DeMarco than the actual name on his record that has impressed me the most. He still has a lot to prove but I definitely see him as someone who can be a big name.

His comparisons with Floyd are ridiculous though. Mayweather at 23 was levels ahead of Broner. If Broner wasn't black and acted like an idiot, there wouldn't really be comparisons made.

    :good Exactly.

DeMarco, while not a weak champion per se, certainly wasn't one of the strongest and wasn't ever destined to rule for long. He's someone any elite should be able to defeat...but not dominate.

Broners a great fighter but I wouldn't put my money down to bet on him just yet against the best at 140
