So his lineage as CW champ is exactly one defense; then he vacated. At HW he held a paper title (which truly belonged to Ruslan Chagaev) and was shut out by the champ in a pathetic performance. Say what you will about Vitali, but he has more title defenses than Haye and has been a dominant force well into his 40's. Haye will never make the IBHOF, while Vitali Klitschko will on the first ballot.

In Conclusion = While Lewis edges out Wlad at this point, Vitali is lightyears ahead of Haye - which gives K2 the combined edge over C2. Only an extremely biased fanboy/hater would see it differently.

PS: only idiots combine the Klitschkos as a two-headed monster. The FACT is that they are two very different fighters with very different legacies. Look at Juan Manuel Marquez and Rafael Marquez - both very good fighters, but Juan is an ATG level and Rafael a mere HOF level. I think overall the Klitschkos are the best boxing brothers in the history of the sport, but Wlad is an ATG and Vitali is a very good HOF level guy who we'll always wonder how good he could've been had he stayed healthy.

A post filled with delicious irony.

Lewis is clearly ranked far higher than Wlad & with good reason. No unavenged losses, fought in a deep era & has a much better record, along with clearly being the better fighter on film.

Vitali lost vs his 2 best opponents, has never unified, has never beaten the #1 in a division he's been in for 16 years yet is somehow dominant?

Vitali will make the IBHOF but Haye wont, despite being the unified CW champion & only the 2nd man to win world titles at cruiser & heavy. So despite winning more world titles in more weight divisions & having a better, steroid-free amatuer career Haye is light years behind Vitali. Cool story bro.

The difference in opposition, depth of the HW scene they fought in and unavegned loses on Wlad's record mean they shouldn't be ranked too closely.

Haye has been a pro for over a decade yet has only 28 fights; there are PROSPECTS out there with more pro bouts. Yes he was the legitimate CW champion and that counts for something. But does that make him a hall of famer? No. Adamek was a titlist at LHW and the legit CW champ; is a future HOF'er? No. Winning titles in a couple of divisions isn't that big a deal in this era of boxing. Winning championships, setting precedents and establishing legacies with multiple (dominant) defenses is. Did Haye do that at CW? No.

I'm not arguing that Haye>Vitali but they're hardly light years apart in terms of achievements. When has Vitali ever been the champion?

You call Haye a paper champ at HW (which is fair tbh) yet call Adamek the legit champ at cruiser completely ignoring the lineage of the IBF title he won (shouldve been Haye's)

But I forget "Only a fanboy/hater would see it differently". I thought you were a better poster than that, despite being so very very pro-Klitschko

I dunno how I missed this one, I only discovered it from Shaunster linking it from another thread which I usually think is a bit lame. There are threads, super-threads and this. When I think of the word genius, I think of the Sistine Chapel, E=MC², Tesla, and now this thread. This thread is the alpha and the omega of ESB (no maracho). If this thread had a ****, I would suck it lovingly and eat every last drop of jizz (no Klitard).

Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial bull**** doctor stoppage. Lewis barely survived the 2nd round and almost got KO'd, he was out on his feet, badly hurt, holding on for dear life, wobbling everywhere and staggering around the ring like a drunk. Lewis was badly hurt several times in the fight, he was battered from pillar to post, outslugged, outgunned, outmuscled, outskilled, outboxed, outlanded in every round, dominated and outclassed by Vitali.

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was clearly the fresher of the two, he would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

After the fight, Vitali intimidated the **** out of Lewis and made him look like a *****. The whole crowd cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis out of the arena.

Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The gutless coward Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 40 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement.

Vitali proved he's the superior fighter.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"

Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"

Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.

Lewis was outclassed, dominated, emasculated and retired by Vitali.
