Well, it's a good start, anyway. The problem is, April is too soon for the better prospects to change their plans & get involved. Also, who knows what kind of contractural stuff is going on behind the scenes? It's possible that many of the better HW's simply CAN'T sign on, as it would breech whatever agreements they have with their current promoters, or the networks, or whatever. "First, we kill all of the lawyers....."
Useless waste of time. Bunch of bums fighting each other and getting nowhere. Take that $500k and give it to a fighter that deserves it.
Likely will be Estrada as favorite. But Martz is a real oddball. Never seen him but he should be dangerous. Butler is a tough guy too, prolly third on my pick list. In the release the intentions of the promoter were made clear "These guys are not the best, but good matchups, "
one thing i've leared from watching many a prizefighter in England is, The favourite rarely wins. They are only 3 round fights, so average fighters are able to steal wins by just going all out for 3 rounds. Or even just for the 1st 2, then holding on for the 3rd. Either way, its a very fun show. if it picks up steam as a show you will begin to see better names on there.
From what I heard they are "close" to signing it. Id say WealthTV or Epix? Can't see HBO/SHO/NBCSN/CBS/ESPN interested.
Good point. Still, 3 rounders are much more entertaining for the non (prospective) fans, and we desperately need more of those.
