Only when Wilder steps up the level of competition he faces can he be acknowledged.

This is heavy weight boxing - either man could win by knockout. Neither are granite chinned. Wilder has the edge in power but doesn't have the natural ability of fury. Fury has fought the better class of opponent and is improving a great deal.

I see this as quite an even fight, anyone suggesting that wilder is a class above is a twat because until now he has fought nobody, his resume is the worse of the up and coming heavies and looks to be staying that way.

Nothing would please me more, than to see Fury sparked cold. Don't think Wilders the guy to do it though, fought to many bums.

Based on what? Wilder has fought nothing but bums and been put on the seat of his pants twice, Atleast Fury has fought proven opponents, and Price is going to be fighting Tony Thompson, even Price's latest victims Mcdermott, Sexton, Harrison and Skelton are a league above the cans Wilder has been fighting. I can understand why you follow and hype Broner but why the hell do you hype Wilder and slate Price and Fury?

I'm sure this guy isn't serious and actual Wilder fans are quite sickened.

Wow, does the OP do nothing but create trolling threads? Serious, ban this idiot.

Fury is the more experienced fighter in this one and has fought weak, but better opposition. Forget Wilder's KO's, while they look good on paper he's not actually been in the ring with anyone with a pulse. It's early days for both fighter though, so to call either a bum is a little bit narrow minded, lets see them tested more before we make snap judgements.

Honestly, this place is becoming a joke...

Kindly name a fight, in the last 2 years, in which Wilder showed "terrible defense."

    We'll wait.

(we'll wait, while you attempt to learn **** about boxing. This may take a while....)

    -----------

Disregarding the complete idiocy of certain ESB members, right now I wouldn't automatically say that Wilder beats Fury. That would be foolish, since Fury would be by far the toughest opponent Wilder's ever faced. It's possible that the big, bumbling dufus could smother Wilder against the ropes, and do some serious damage with body shots, then take him out.

However, my bet would indeed be on a Wilder KO, via a left hand in the early rounds as Fury moves in with a flurry and drops his guard, like he always does.

It's a fight that SHOULD happen in 2013, but Fury is having none of it.

It's a suspected terrible defence. Due to the fact he hasn't stepped up what so ever pretty much since his debut it is assumed that he still has a terrible defence. I don't know and you don't know if it has improved at all, he hasn't faced anyone good enough to test it what so ever.

And I have no problem with that assumption. - But to say he has no defense, or no skills, is beyond absurd. Watch the Abron fight, watch the Arnold fight. Watch the David Long fight, fer chissakes. Wilder almost looked like Ali, the way he moved out of harms way with both his body & head. Sure, weak opposition, but Wilder can MOVE. He has skills. Even against Price, a performance that even I was disappointed with, Wilder showed temendous defensive footwork. He was able to move away, completely negating Price's body onslaught.

I'm sure that's part of what Manny Steward saw, and why he said that Wilder would probably be the next HW champ.

Haters are just ignoring the facts.

Mind you, I don't think Wilder could get away from Price. That would be an all-out, offensive battle, and I'd give Price the edge right now, but Fury? Too slow, and his head is far too unguarded. Wilder can KO you with either hand, and Fury is a sitting duck for a fast, powerful left. I wouldn't count Fury out, because of Wilder's inexperience & because Fury knows how to smother an opponent, but I would still bet the farm on Wilder.

So now we know you're a complete ****ing moron. Thanks for proving it.

Someday you might want to actually watch a few of Wilder's fights, but since you are obviously mentally challenged, I'll give you a quick synopsis of Wilder's left:

He KO'd Owen Beck with a left. (After jabbing for the entire fight.)
That's right, A SINGLE left. You ****ing idiot.

He took out Manswell with a right-left-right-left combination. Although the second right did most of the damage, it was still a solid 4-punch flurry, with all 4 landing crisply.

Against Travis Allen, the KO was again from a right, but he followed it with a vicious left hook to Allen's head, before Allen hit the canvas. (So much for Wilder being off-balance when he throws.)

Against Abron, Wlder threw as many left hooks as he did rights. In the final round, he threw several combos that were 6 -8 hard punches total, with virtually every shot landing. (He also threw excellent jabs in that fight.)
    -------------------

    Whatever.

The Wilder-bashers have proven themselves such idiots, at this point it's actually fun to read their moronic postings. These guys make Zakman seem like a Rhodes Scholar of boxing.
    Bring it on, meatheads!

What significant improvements against solid opposition has Wilder made in the last two years that requires you to issue such a cut off date?

No, it shouldn't happen until Jonty beats someone ranked firmly in the top 50 to give us some gauge of his abilities and make the fight something less than a joke. Going from someone like Matthew Greer (rank 270) to Tyson Fury (rank number 7) would make a complete mockery of the sport.

If Wilder's serious about facing Fury this year he needs to fight another opp in the top 100 then someone in the top 50, preferably top 30. Then serious talks can be made on anything approaching decent terms.

Well at the moment he is a nobody, unless you're one of those mysterious phantoms hyping him up to a level which, as of now, he's not proven himself to be on.

I don't personally think Wilder is that bad, he record is padded and he is over rated by a select group of fans and trolls pretending to be fans. I have seen a few Wilder fights, you can clearly tell he is alot better than the opponents he is facing but remember that alot of people have only seen the Price fight which he wasn't all that impressive in and have looked on youtube to see him get knocked down, and in all honesty regardless of who it is, if that is all you've seen of him he is going to be regarded as ****.

With regards to fighting Price and Fury, I think both would win, this is obviously because I have seen more of them, I also think Fury is superior to Price, Fury seems to get better as the opposition gets better, the first John McDermott fight really hit home for him and he started to take it more seriously and has been in better shape every fight since. I also think every problem what Fury has can be fixed and with him being only 23 time is on his side.
