Bit random, but i was wondering whether anyone has considered becoming a boxing promoter/manager, or has been/is one? Thanks.
You'd either have to have lots of capital to invest to be a promoter or a totally ruthless mother****er to be a manager.
Yes, I thought about awhile back, I'm pretty good with kids and know how to get through to them sports wise, but it would be tough being a promoter, as another poster said, you need have some money to back him and pay for the usual expenses that it takes to bring a young talent up through the ranks, it helps to know people in high places as well.
That's been my dream since I was young, but I'm just trying to find the right person to get in the business.
Well i studied law here in the UK so...lol Ive contacted the central area of the BBBofC and spoken to them in some detail, even had a license application form sent out...mite be a bit of mountain to climb however as the person i spoke to is 99% sure i'd be the youngest promoter in the country at the age of 22.
