No poll just analysis and argument. Pavlik from the Miranda fight v. Gennady. I really like GGG in and out of the ring. Not a whole lot not to like. Both dudes can crack and both aren't hard to find. Seen a lot of gennady and junior comments so I figured I'd take this out for a stroll. Would have been a great fight IMO. I don't see many guys standing in front of Kelly at MW and taking his right but GGG is a beast. Thought? I'll take Pavlik at around 10
On first glance i take Pavlik by decision, damn been a long time since i watched some Pavlik fights. Think in his prime the jab and size advantage would be too much.
I would say Pavlik has a good chance to win this but not by stoppage IMO. The Miranda Pavlik was a monster, let's be serious 2 seconds. :yep This is a pick em fight Dbouz' :good
Jr is nowhere near Miranda's Pavlik so yes, GGG beats the living **** out of Jr and may well TKO him.
I don't mind junior but he did nothing to Andy lee that Vera didn't, went the distance with a guy Pavlik ***** slapped into quitting on his stool. One round against Martinez doesn't make me think he's walking through GGG like many seem to think
Id favor kelly, when Kelly was on his run up to the title an in the taylor fights he was a different monster. Gonna miss kelly
I think even current Pavlik beats GGG. JCC stops GGG in brutal fashion. GGG fighting mostly tomato cans being so overhyped. It's like Bute all over again lmao
I'm really just curious. What has junior shown you that makes you think he walk through GGG. I like both guys I just think that junior hasn't really distinguished himself outside the last round of Martinez. I'm not a **** talker just curious
Changed my tune: Pavlik was a huge middleweight. He'd back up Golovkin, out-jab Golovkin (which would lead to him finding the opening with the long right hand), and bust him up to a clear decision or late stoppage. Pavlik's peak was short - from 2007 until before the Hopkins fight the very next year - but I'd favor him over current Martinez, Golovkin, Chavez Jr, Geale, Quillin, N'Jikam, and the rest of the 160 pound crop.
