    possibly ever.

peter jackson is the only other credible aussie fighter that could claim top spot. and he fought his last fight over 110 years ago.

a guts and all action fighter in the rocky mould, alex leapai has more than a few simmilarities with the fictional charactor rocky balboa.

both fought anyone. their early fitness was questionable. they both fight anyone, from bums to world class fighters. both learn from their losses. both have iron chins. both were from 'migrant' families. alex from samoa, rocky from italy.

however, the champ these days in not 'apollo creed'. he is more 'ivan drago'..both of them.

when alex gets a shot, like rocky, he will be a huge underdog, considered to have little but a punchers chance. he will go in under rated, underestimated, and wouldnt have it any other way.

the only people that begrudge alex his success are other australians! jealous people from other gyms, or losers connected to other trainers and promotors. they dont consider what a shot in the arm for australian boxing, an aussie challenging for a heavyweight title would be.

alex simmilarities with rocky are marketable. he is a great story.

a former NRL prodigy with a cowboy scholarship who turns to boxing. then the forementioned simmilarities to rocky. a fighter from the southern hemesphere, from the asian pacific. he is marketable to diverse cultures, from the pacific islands, new zealand, australia to china and all through asia.

he is a great story. a very marketable all action fighter who leaves no questions unanswered. he is a heavyweight with the rare power to ko anyone on the planet. his punches sometimes come from unorthadox angles, from above and below, not always straight and from hooks.

alex is rated number 10 in the world and climbing. alex is a fighter that has you on the edge of your seat. all action, world class power. you never feel his chin is at risk, only his stammina. such is the way he fights. however, his fitness has improved. the excess weight is gone. his training methods, application and diet have improved. his awareness of sticking to a plan was galvanised the night he blew himself out against kevin johnson.

how one fight, one loss can transform a fighter, only other fighters understand. some can mentally throw in the towel, others buckle up with drive. alex transformation in the last few months is nothing short of miraculous.

    eye of the tiger.....:fire

Your "expert" analysis: Tall = Klitschko thus Matt Hicks = Klitschko.

How many fights did you have to make you as dumb as you are?

Craig Peterson was a better fighter than Alex.

Definently Craig Petersen, life tragically cut short, could of been anything. Also Kali Meehan was much better and ****** Fortune fought better opposition and travelled the world doing it.
