I would agree with that. My thoughts as well.

 

Vitali never had the power to trouble Wlad. He isn't going to land enough on Wlad to hurt him. Wlad will dictate range with his jab and power.

 

Wlad will struggle to dictate range with someone as big, athletic and strong as his older brother.

The whole reason Wlad fights the way he does is to protect his chin, he's been hurt, wobbled and down by lesser punchers than Vitali.

Don't underestimate Vitalis power.
Vitali also have an better chin than Wlad

Vitali doesn't press in that way, he mainly tries to counter, Chris Byrd was walking him down due to styles. He will not land regularly enough to hurt Wlad, neither fight on the inside and if the fight is mainly on the outside, i will go with the guy who has the ATG jab and power.

Sanders, Brewster, Peter are all bigger punchers than Vitali.

 

All this hype about Wilder but vitali was 27-0-27 ko's at one point and he fought better guys then him.

 

You can make a case either way.

 

I disagree, it's hard punchers that truly bothered Wlad and Vitali is an accumulation puncher.
Wlad hits harder and sharper than Lewis, I'm sure it would cut Vitali badly.
I give Wlad the edge for being quicker and harder hitting and having a better jab while Vitali only got his chin to compensate for.

 

Any Emmanuel Steward trained fight 6'5+ will beat the **** out of Vitali prime for prime.

Old Azz Lewis was on his way to knocking the big stiff idiot out prior to getting robbed of a ko.

No he does not.
It's a fuking myth. Lewis aim to cut. Wlad does not.
Wlad got better skills (slightly) in terms of jabs than Lewis.
But Lewis hits sharper.. he hits from various angles as well.

A Wlad jab is a straight right.
A Lewis jab is a straight right followed by a left hook/combo/ body punch/ at times.

Lewis throws at you from various angles and looks to cut.

Wlad does not.

Wlad is a great champion though, Steward trained. Kronk Gym.
Top 10 ATG HW. But his REAL big brother is still slightly better.

Vitali would have problems with wlada jab no doubt about that..
And wlad hit harder then Lewis ESP with the left hook.

 

Steward called Wlad the most powerful puncher he has ever trained/seen.
And Steward didn't only good about Wlad, he often pointed out things Lewis did better, but Wlad certainly hits harder.

Vitali and Wlad are close prime for prime you could make case for both guys but I think Wlad edges it.
