In Bowe 3 Holy looked more the LL version than the one that beat Buster.

I like the crap you get over the reply. :)

probably Holyfield. Ike was.. it seems, more myth than legacy . (i hate him for going to jail)

we can talk Byrd, but then we'd land on wlad

Lewis would never just bumrush Holy like he did Golata.

You do know that Holy was rather ill (hepatitis) in the 3rd Bowe fight, he gassed every time he threw a few punches & was ****ed after a few rounds. That was the only real stoppage loss in a 27 year career.

Holy always said Bowe hit him harder than anyone else & he's fought Lewis, Tyson, Foreman & Cooper. Lewis might have had slightly better single-shot power but Bowe threw better combinations, was a better body puncher, was more aggressive & better on the inside.

Lewis just wasnt tough enough to go to war with Holy, by that stage in his career Steward had made him a much more cautious & intelligent fighter.

Its very unlikely that Ike would stop Holy in the late 90s. Holy was past his best but still operating at a very high level & was certainly better than Tua or Byrd.

In the late 90s Holy was still good enough to flatten Moorer & give Lewis a tough fight. Tua & Byrd were both fairly one-dimensional, Ike never faced anyone as complete as Holy.

Ike gets alot of credit for one win, what if what happened to Ike happened to Tyson after Berbick or Liston after Patterson

Lennox wasn't trading punches with him. If Holyfield starts brawling as he was inclined to do at times, then Ike is more than capable of winning.

It depends how smart Holyfield fights and what version we are talking about. Younger Holy could move and box, older Holy could get stopped late.
