in the case of Kovalev it may be a matter of 'be careful what you ask for'.

Would love to see a fight at 175 with Kovalev. Not so sure about the fight with Golovkin at 168 though.

Cmon IB. Don't pretend you don't remember those circumstances.

Bute signed with Showtime specifically for the s5. Showtime signed him specifically for their tournament. And it was G0053N/Team Ward who refused his entry as an alternate.
So Showtime and Interbox hyped up a huge undisputed unification between the winner of the s5 and Bute. Ward pretended, much like the OP is pretending, that he was willing to fight anyone, including Bute.
Bute was calling out the s5 participants from day one and wanted the winner more than anything.

When the tournament ended, and Ward clearly won, Bute went straight away after him. It was team Ward, Ward specifically, who said Bute hadnt done anything to warrant a fight with him.

So Bute did the logical thing and signed with Froch hoping that the win would force Wards hand.

Still, Bute is chasing Ward by going after Bika. And still Ward is hiding by trying to fight anyone other than Bute.:deal

Ward really should have fought Bute after the super 6, it's a shame he didn't and it'll be held against him

indeed I still believe that Bute will give a tough-dangerous fight to Ward due of his style. If Bute wins that WBC strap against Bika and then challenges Ward to fight in N.Y or A.C but Ward chooses another route, then its a blatantly ducking maneuver from Ward. :yep

Even if this was true lets not get too far from the fact that Ward would easily handle Bute!

Not that it would matter at all seen as Bute has fought one top 10 fighter and got brutally KO'd in 5 rounds in a completely one sided beat down! :good:good
