Why is he seen as such a nonfactor, when he knocked the **** out of LennoX Lewis. yes, lewis did the same to him in the rematch. but a win against lewis is a great win and a loss to lewis is definetely not a horrible loss. he also went the distance against holyfield and had a draw against james toney, he beat corrie sanders. he has lost to some average fighters, but you can see on his record that it had a certain pattern to it, his losses mainly came in small periods before he was on a winning streak again. now, he's old and shot, but he is seriously an underrated warrior.

    Gate keeper at best

A gate keeper can't beat lewis, sanders, go the distance against holyfield and draw with james toney. a gate keeper can do one or two of those things, but certainly not all of them at once. calling rahman a gatekeeper is just ****d up wrong.

He was a spoiler. After knocking Lewis out, HBO offered him a giant multi-fight contract.

He either bought into Don Kings bull**** or believed he was actually that good & turned them down.

Lewis then gave one of the best comeback fight performances ever & knocked Rahman out complete with his head landing right on the Don King crown.

That must have cost him millions.

It just happens when you get hit by the best 1-2 combination in the hw division ever.

if Rahman is so respected, then Wladimir should get even more props for whooping him (in one try)

Rahman was probably the worst fighter to hold the legitimate HW championship (not counting the many pathetic beltholders like John Ruiz). Yes he was able to take advantage of Lewis's less than solid whiskers, but his own chin problems betrayed him time and again.

He was average contender, mid level one. I made money on him in first Lewiss fight, not cause I thought he would win, but cause I knew he had goood punch and would try. Reaon I took bet is odds were crazy, over 5-1 for Lewis. I figured bookies musth have though he was fighting Joe Louis.

Rematch I stayed away from, Rahman went nuts with money, blew it all, was partying like is was last days of Roman Empire. Tough guy, good right hand, and game. Good enough chin, not championship material though, he just caught a weak chinned champ in top effort.

Lucky punch against an out of shape lewis, got totally owned in the re-match.
Sanders almost beat him and sanders himself was only a gate keeper.
    Holyfield was old and shot.
Toney was a very old shot Middleweight.

Rahman has only one good win and it was just a lucky punch.

    Rahman = gatekeeper

Nobody mentions the fact that Lewis was seriously battering him before the knockout came. Also was batterring him in the rematch only this time he didnt ran out of stamina and finished him off.

Oleg Maskaev was able to knock him out twice in two competitive fights.
He clearly lost to JOhn Ruiz
    He clearly lost to Holyfield

His best win apart from the Lewis is Corey Sanders and he also should have got decision against Tua. Good wins against Barret and Meehan.

Now he is so shot he should be banned from any title fights.
