Interesting, 1 and 2 is most likely Golovkin's priority also. But it seems Martinez/Quillin has more of a chance than Martinez/Golovkin eventhough both the interest level and money favors a Martinez/Golovkin match.

With all of your desperate bull**** aside...at no point at any second of the fight was he losing and not in complete control. And that is all that matters.

You can have your moral victory in the form of a black eye.

Martinez would absolutely fight Quillin before he steps in the ring with GGG. Unfortunately for GGG, he's not a mid-level UK fighter. If he was, Martinez would be all over him.

Also, just because Quillin states he wants Martinez or Geale doesn't mean he even gets either of them. He'll probably fight another fringe contender or N'Dam again after Rubio. Geale might fight Golovkin after Mundine, but that remains to be seen.

The irony here is that Quillin or Golovkin could springboard toward big fights and paydays in the future by fighting each other and becoming a unified champion, but Quillin would rather not take the risk of getting beat down horribly.

Nobody is saying he's a defensive genius, but at least he's willing to fight.

The sport should be about the best fighting the best. Neither Golovkin nor Quillin are really established, and since Martinez is busy with tune ups/rehabilitating his knees, the best should fight the best to prove who is worthy of the fight with Martinez.

Golovkin and Quillin isn't a bad fight, EVERYONE wants to see it so why does Peter say it doesn't make sense? You tell me.....

Regardless what you think ogf Golovkin,he holds a legitimate World Title belt, and is ranked number 3 Middleweight in the World,a lot say number 2 that should be all the incentive for any Fighter to jump in the ring with him.

Make no mistake all this talk about GGG has not done enough and is not worthy is Bull **** and is a smokescrean,he brings a World Title to the table and the Pussies at Middleweight division have not got the Ball's to come and take it off him,Fan's want to see them fight and get it on to see who truly is Number 1 buut not all parties are on the same page.!!!

This is exactly what is wrong with Boxing today so called Top Fighters picking and Choosing there fights to further there already Padded and Manipulated Careers F*cking disgrace in my opinion.!!!

I was chuckling to myself throughout reading the whole thing yesterday. I like Kid Chocolate but it sounded like a blatant duck. That being said I'd probably duck GGG too! **** that!

apparently if a guy lands a few punches on you in 7 rounds of pro boxing you have "no defense, no head movement"

I don't know why boxers always say things that make it easy for them to be criticized. I don't know what Quillin's intentions are but the way he worded things it sounds like he's ducking. If I'm in his position and I'm willing to fight anyone, I'd say this:

"I would love to fight Golovkin. But there are bigger fishes to fry at this moment. If I can't get a fight with the guys at the very top, I will get in the ring with Golovkin. Every top guy at 160 is on my hit list. Unfortunately I can't fight them all at once therefore I have to select one opponent who is the best option available. It may or may not be GG. Either way I promise you I'm fighting someone who is among the best in my division."

You don't say something stupid like, "A fight with GG doesn't make sense." This gives people the notion that you aren't open to fighting him. Of course it makes sense. He may not be the best option for you at this very moment. But the fight does hold value because fans would love to see Quillin-Golovkin. Two strong, undefeated fighters with KO power. It makes a ton of sense.

    He said

    1. Martinez

    2. Geale

    3. Golovkin

How can it be made any clearer for you?

Tell me, do you want to see Quillin-Golovkin?

A simple yes or no will suffice, you linguistic neglect.
