i know these 2 will probably never fight since Calzaghe avoided Tarver, Dawson, Pavlik and Froch during his career and only fought Roy Jones Jr and Hopkins when they were in there 40's with Roy being nowhere near the fighter he was in his prime and the Hopkins fight was too close to call. But isnt there a video interview somewhere where Calzaghe says he'll come back and fight anyone for 10 million ? surely someone could make this fight happen? 50 cent maybe? if Joe comes back and loses to Ward then everyone says it because hes old and hes been out of the ring to long but if he wins he'll look invincible. Its bizarre that over 4 years since his retirement that esb is flooded in threads about Calzaghe. Its becomes clearer by the day that all roads lead to Joe Calzaghe.
The RJJ fight was a glorified sparring session but the Bhop fight was a genuine quality win anybody who claims it wasn't directly shits on Pavlik - got his backside handed too him by an older Bhop Tarver - got his backside handed to him by a slightly younger Bhop Daswon - best win is an even older Bhop Froch - Would have loved this fight but its like saying if George Groves or someone called out Froch and he turned it down that would be a duck sorry but nah. The guy hardly has a stellar cv but come on.
To be fair Dawson actually beat Bhop clearly, whatever his age Calzaghe didn't, that was an appalling fight With Calzaghe unable to land **** all and Nard crawling all over the floor The equivalent of a 0-0 draw With 2 shots on target
