why though? i love Kat but he was the challenger... just because you put up a good challenge to the champion doesnt mean you should get a rematch. That was his shot... now casa moves on to other challengers. Kat can win some more fights and get his rematch that way but imo a rematch just because a challenger put up a good fight, but indeed was soundly vanquished, doesnt make too much sense in the big picture of things. Theres other challengers out there.

    :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

So a two division champion, and current lineal 135lb champ knocks out a top ranked lightweight contender as a 4-1 underdog, has a victory over the currently #1 ranked Campbell, and he is not elite???

If he is not elite at 135, tell me....who is???

Moron...Casamayor isn't elite and is B-level? That's one of the dumbest things I have heard on a forum. Of course Casamayor is elite and Katsidis proved he belongs among the tops guys at 135. Hello, Katsidis was ahead on two of the judges scorecards, so he wasn't being outboxed the entire fight. Outboxed is Hopkins-Trinidad...

Lederman is a blind ****, and if you look at the punch stats, Casa landed more, and threw more as well.

And all this is ****ing over with anyway. If Katsidis wants a rematch, he can ask for one after he gets out of the ****ing hospital and Casa can KTFO him again.

Lederman can be blind, but someone pointed out that Casamayor was acctually losing the fight at the time of stoppage on the judges cards.

Punch stats? It aint ****ing amatuer boxing, were one landed punch counts for one point, no matter how powerful or insignificant. Katsidis was landing big time shots and winning rounds.

I also think the stoppage was a little quick. But it is a judgement call. Katsidis seems to be a fighter that can take a tremendous beating. The ref jumped in immediately. Perhaps, he could of weathered the storm. Who would of thought the fight would go 10 rounds after the 1st round? Katsidis can recover.

He wasn't landing many shots at all in rds 7-9. And if Casa is actually out punching Kastsidis, what else can you go on??

And anyway, Casa got knocked out of the ring, and still got back. Katsidis got stopped because Casa was willing to dig deeper and was quite simply, in every respect, the better fighter.

And that was not a quick stoppage. :nono

Casa was the ring mag champ not an official title just a Magazine belt. The only official title on the line was Katsidis WBO interim belt.

No, honestly Katsidis got stopped because he is an idiot. He should of won that fight! Katsidis wildly ran right into Casamayor's fist at the start of the 10th.

Casa the grand old pro survived last night on skill and guts and some luck, but he is shot the legs are gone the stamina is shaky, reflexes are not what they once were. But he is a wily crafty individaul. He may be 40 yrs old if whats been said id true. I say give the great old amature and pro boxer one last good pay day. A prime Casa would have had Kat out on the 1st last night.

He got stopped because Casa is a better fighter, plain and simple.
