it could be, i see your point. but, i really think vitali will call it a day, thats why im starting to wonder why haye would come out and say this now (about fury)?

haye knows how to sell a fight, and whether a fight is attractive. i think he knows that the vitali fight is slipping away, so he sees fury as a decent back up. the fight ticks all the boxes, for haye, especially if fury gains the wbc belt.

What time frame are you putting on Vitali's retirement? I'm not sure we'll see him fight in 2014 but I can see him taking 2 fights this year, maybe.

i cant see vitali fighting again, to be honest. if he does fight on, i agree with what youre saying, he wont go on past 2014. things have gone very quiet from vitali, at the moment. of course, he could be making haye wait. on the other hand, he could still be mulling it all over, does he feel hes past his best? vitali, on the one hand, is an intelligent man, he should know that he is way past his best now. on the other hand, vitali often shows signs of someone who is in denial about certain elements of his career; i feel this 'denial' may cross over into any decision not to retire.

i just have a feeling he'll (vitali) announce his retirement, and haye knows this. hence, why hes, potentially, talking up a fight with fury.

Fury is the best fight for Haye when it comes to the British prospects, Price is a friend of his, so they won't fight and Wlad is not interested in facing him again, Chisora was outclassed, maybe LL can come out of retirement to face Haye, but that's about it

yeah, its a matter of options/ money. theres no money for haye, outside of a klitschko fight or a domestic dust up.

although, your LL coming out of retirement theory has got me thinking...

ive not heard haye run down other heavweights, unless they are opponents or potential opponents. in other words, his trash talk is often directed at those he wants to fight, not at other heavyweights in general.
